  • Relaxed and peaceful farmstead site near the Pembrokeshire coast
  • Within easy reach of wildlife-spotting day trips to Ramsey island
  • Less than a mile to Broad Haven beach and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path
Bring on the beach days… make your way to Broadway Campsite and you’ll be in a prime spot for heaps of Pembrokeshire’s finest sandy stretches. For starters, this welcoming place is less than a mile from Broad Haven beach, a particularly excellent place for a family day out; Newgale, Little Haven, Nolton Haven and Marloes Sands are all within a 20-minute drive too if you want a little list to work your way down. Gaps in between them are filled with walks on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, and there’s plenty more activity nearby in the form of horse riding, surf lessons, sea kayaking and coasteering. There’s a relaxed vibe on site (the word ‘friendly’ crops up time and again in previous guests’ reviews), with plenty of space around the meadows for games, campfires and putting your feet up while taking in the views. And what views they are – open countryside to the east and sea views to the west… perhaps best enjoyed with a drink in hand as the sun sets…? A 20-minute stroll takes you into the centre of Broad Haven for a small supermarket, a pub and a couple of cafés; for a proper stock-up of barbecue provisions you’ll need to make the 10-minute drive to Haverfordwest.

What customers say

A well-loved campsite lauded for stunning views, peace, and great value. Popular for proximity to Broad Haven beach and coastal paths. Spacious pitches, clean facilities. Coin-op showers (£1 for 8 mins). Some noted limited restrooms, occasional pitch unlevelness/wind, but many want to return.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass campsite

Liked First time visiting Broadway campsite and the 3 of us loved every minute! Views to die for, relaxing atmosphere just watching the sunset each night was perfect. Our daughter loved being able to see the farm animals and the tree swing was a big hit. Showers were spotless and warm. Field can get dark at night so lights are a must when walking to the toilet. Beach and local bars and restaurants are just a stones throw away and spent days driving along the coastal roads visiting towns. Thanks for a lovely few days and we will definitely be coming back.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass campsite

Liked The site is always tidy and the facilities always sparkling clean. The host are always polite and greet you with a smile or wave when they see you. I love that they have a few personal animals on the site as it’s always nice to see and hear them while camping. I’ve been going to this site for the past 4 years and continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Disliked The automatic light in female toilets go off a little to quickly but other than that zero complaints

Powered cement/asphalt and grass campsite

Liked Beautiful view, peaceful site, flat pitch, clean facilities, good value for money. Dog friendly. WiFi connectivity drops in and out but generally very good. Hot showers, take £1 coin to operate but last 8 minutes which was plenty of time. There are recycling facilities and the bins are emptied first thing in the morning. Didn’t see the owner in person but she responded promptly to phone contact.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked A very quiet place within easy access of Broadhaven. Showers, toilets and washing up facilities were all well maintained and clean. Good recycling facilities. Never saw the owners which I found odd. I rang on arrival and was told I could set up pitch in either field.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Peaceful, beautiful views. Easy to walk to the local beach , coast path. Found a lovely bar in Broadhaven selling craft beers.

Disliked Please consider including showers in the price. I wouldn't mind paying a £1 more per night.
My reason? The wash up area is with the showers and I got treated to a naked man who popped out of it to put his money in the slot. I found it funny, but not really appropriate.
Otherwise a lovely site and we would go again.

Liked Nice quiet site, the location ideal for walking into Broad Haven.

Disliked Ladies toilet had no hand drying facility or hair drying facility or a plug socket.

We were there for 4 nights and didn't see the owners once.

The facilities were left reasonable clean by the campers whilst we were there, but were not cleaned daily by the owners.

Local attractions

Whatever flavour of beach day you favour, there’s likely to be something to suit along this stretch of Pembrokeshire coast. Paddles and sandcastles are the order of the day at Broad Haven beach, and there’s more of the same at Marloes Sands (20 minutes’ drive), along with rockpools and a shipwreck to seek out (climb over the rocks at low tide to see if you can spot the prop shaft poking out of the ground at Albion Sands). Surf types flock to the waves of Newgale (20 minutes) and Whitesands (35 minutes); sea kayaks can be hired at both for those who’d prefer to paddle along the coastline. Nolton Stables (10 minutes) is the place for both beginner riding lessons and surfside cantering, and various outfits in St Davids (half an hour) can hook you up with aquatic adventures like coasteering and paddleboarding. St Davids is a fab place for a more gentle wander too (the cathedral and Bishop’s Palace are both worth a look), and is the jumping-off point for boat trips to Grassholm and Ramsey islands – keep your peepers peeled for whales, dolphins, seals and puffins, depending on the time of year.
