  • Dog-friendly farm site minutes away from Burry Port beach and harbour
  • A 10-minute drive from Pembrey Country Park; golf course nearby
  • Footpath access on site; farm shop, cafés and restaurants nearby
You may have rural roots on the dog-friendly farm site of Penllwyn Isaf Farm Campsite, but that doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice sand between your toes – not at all. The beach at Burry Port is only five minutes’ drive away. Kick off your shoes and sit back on the farm, soaking up the views of the Carmarthenshire coast or watching the dairy cows on their daily commute to get milked. Penllwyn Isaf Farm Campsite caters to families, couples and small groups, but there are no hen or stag parties allowed and no noise after 10pm to make for a peaceful stay for all. There’s a footpath that runs through the site that will take you down into the village of Pembrey in five minutes. Once there, get right to the action by joining a cycling track towards the Millennium Coastal Path. Of course, Burry Port’s harbour and sandy beach may take up a fair bit of your attention too. Watersports are on a roll there, and there are boating and cafés for a bite to eat afterwards. More on the food situation: there are a great deal of good eats to choose from around here, including a farm shop 10 minutes’ drive away for those more substantial bits, a neighbourhood restaurant 25 minutes’ walk away in Pembrey or a fish and chip shop down by the harbour. Other popular picks include a steakhouse 10 minutes’ drive away in Llanelli and a hotel restaurant alongside a golf course, five minutes’ drive away. The site also has a communal firepit where you’re welcome to cook too - or bring your own firepit bits along.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Beautiful, basic campsite. One porta-loo and one toilet block with 2 showers. Tap for drinking water at top of field. Lovely greeting messages from owner. Breathtaking views. Short drive into village with supermarket, coffee shops, pubs.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked The view was delightful and was so peaceful. The owners were very friendly and responsive over text and on phone when enquiring about the Campsite and during our stay.
We arrived the first day it was open so had the place to ourselves which was an added bonus.
The shower and toilet blocks were clean. We stayed on a pitch overlooking the gorgeous view, however the toilet and shower blocks are a bit further down the hill, where there are more pitches to choose from, closer to the amenities and sheltered on windy days.
Our pitch was level and more than big enough to set up our TentBox and 6 person living tent with room to spare.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked The view! Wow, it was amazing. I’m from a town nearby and have always enjoyed taking the mountain road that this campsite happens to run along, but I wasn’t expecting to be pitched somewhere with a view spanning Pembrey and the Gower.

Disliked Wasn’t sure where to put the bins, but this was not a big issue as we were happy to take them with us.
