A favourite of ours and within easy weekend away for us. Love It!
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Lovely little quiet site with lovely views. Has a small shop with home grown essentials. Nice clean toilet and shower, elsan point. There lots of places for dogs on leads to walk and a big pond to walk around. We have returned having stayed last year. Site owner is very helpful and goes out of his way. Like we said on another review this is definately a favourite of ours and within easy weekend away for us, especially since it is open all year. Top Marks.
Disliked No dislikes at all. Ideally a dryer for a longer braek but it's a small site and growing, so not a deal breaker by any means.

Liked The campsite is set in a stunning location on salt marshland meaning that there is an abundance of wildlife to be seen from your pitch and around the site. I saw a Kingfisher, Heron, Cormorant, Ringed Plover just to name a few of the birds.
There are lots of spaces to be able to sit and watch and relax.
As a solo traveller I felt incredibly safe and comfortable. Huw is incredibly passionate about the site and will do what he can to make your stay enjoyable.
The Honesty Shop is a great extra - the burgers were delicious!

Fantastic- just go.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked The owners are super lovely, very welcoming and warm. The site is clean and very natural outside the camp ground, there are fields you can walk in to get to the river, see some cows and walk to the local towns. The onsite shop has lovely food - I recommend the beef burgers, come ready seasoned and simply gorgeous. Facilites are clean and maintained well, flexibility to leave whenever you want as long as you’re respectful of others. I can’t recommend it enough really.
Disliked Need more facilities, but they will be building these ready for next year!

Primitive grass campsite
Liked A perfect spot to get away for a few nights. The site is peaceful and well-loved by Huw, with plenty on land to explore. If you time it right, you can even see the waters of the Taf flowing upstream as the tide changes and the river suddenly fills - magical! Simple but clean facilities - I loved the back to basics style, which is what camping should be! I also recommend trying the cider in the little honesty shop. Great location for walks, beaches, close to small towns.

Liked Lovely campsite, the owner was friendly and welcoming. The pitches were very spacious and all the facilities were clean and tidy. It was lovely to see the lambs and chickens and the wildlife, very relaxing to wander and sit by the river. The site has a good little shop which we bought some burgers and eggs from the owners animals.
We will definitely return.

The campsite’s location on a farm added so much charm, with chickens, cows, and even the occasional rabbit keeping us company. We also loved the honesty shop, which offered lovely local produce.
Overall, it was such an enjoyable stay that we immediately booked to return. Highly recommend!

Lovely small campsite that was very peaceful and serene
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Lovely small campsite that was very peaceful and serene. Absolute beautiful scenic views. Lovely walks with the dogs. The onsite facilities are very clean, tidy and spacious. The shower is fantastic. There is an elsan for your portaloo, dish washing facilities and a small shop onsite with fresh local produce almost every day. The owner Huw is very kind, helpful and friendly, explaining everything clearly, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for him. The electric hook up pitches are on hard standing and fairly level. We will definitely be coming back again.
Disliked The hard standing made it difficult to set up the awning. The chipping hard standing was uncomfortable to walk on. Electric pylons do spoil the vista but that is something we have to put up with everywhere in the UK.

I'm sorry you had difficulty setting up your awning I would purchase the correct awning pegs for hardstanding pitches this will safe you having difficulties in the future
