  • Award-winning site in the small Carmarthenshire village of Cenarth
  • A 15-minute drive from the coast; 45 minutes from Oakwood theme park
  • Bar and restaurant on site, with a spa and pool for an additional fee
Waterfall walks, cheese appreciation, leaping salmon, bobbing about in a coracle… there are several reasons why folk would settle in the little Carmarthenshire village of Cenarth. And you can add to that mix the fine collection of facilities at Cenarth Falls Resort, an award-winning site 10 minutes’ walk from the village’s pubs, cafés and small supermarket. Many certificates of excellence have been bestowed upon this park over the years – even the toilet block has been the recipient of its own gong. Bring the kids along, though, and they won’t bat an eyelid at such things – they’ll most likely be rather too distracted by spending time at the play area or challenging pals in the games room. The on-site spa, bar and restaurant are some of the real highlights of this resort – it’s a place where you can settle with a drink in the comfy bar or pay a little extra for access to the adjacent spa, which has an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and a gym. At some point, for more food perhaps, it’s worth heading over to the nearest town, Newcastle Emlyn, five minutes’ drive away, for self-catering supplies and/or a range of pubs, restaurants and takeaways.

Liked Lovely location within walking distance to the falls and shops.
Lovely landscaping within the park, decent pitches and surrounded by beautiful forestry.
Phatforks (restaurant on site) was lovely, great service, great food, great cocktails and were able to accommodate a large group (18) at very short notice. Thank you 🙏

Disliked Outdoor pool was closed with no notification from site. A swim in the indoor pool was £10 per person which I think is a bit extreme. However we just swam in the nearby river which was lots of fun.

Not great for dogs toileting needs, no designated area which meant that they were either forced to do their business on site in the limited grassed areas between caravans, which wasn’t ideal or you will need to go on the hunt for an open space in the village.

The toilet/shower facilities are in desperate need of modification and more regular cleaning. We arrived on a Friday and left on Monday and there was no evidence of them being cleaned once during that time.
The ladies toilets smelt really strongly of urine and the showers were in need of some bleach and a good scrub!

Bring ear plugs too if you are a light sleeper as there is a cockerel in a neighbouring property who was in full swing at 6am every morning! Not the responsibility of the site, but worth mentioning! We found it amusing as we are morning people and weren't too bothered, but I can see how this could annoy some people.

Great location but you won’t get a lie in because of the roosters!!

Liked Stunning campsite in a fantastic area. Great restaurant on site and within easy walking distance to the falls/ village.

Disliked I never write reviews but felt compelled to, due to our experience. Only one “big” complaint to be honest. You have a 5am wake up call every single morning from the 2 roosters in the surrounding fields. It’s very loud and goes on all morning. We are nature lovers but this is unacceptable for every day of your holiday. We only stayed for 2 days in our Motorhome but we felt sorry for the families that were here for longer, they must be absolutely drained. We don’t mind early starts but 5am every day is not enjoyable. There is no mention of this when you book and I think the owners should warn people.

Liked Very nice site, facilities extremely clean, friendly residents and staff. Pitches big. Spa is beautiful and clean very relaxing. But it's a spa so don't expect to let your kids go wild in there. My 2 kids were well behaved and swam nicely but only 1 person was in with us. The sauna and steam room lovely as was jacuzzi. Restaurant and clubhouse lovely. Food fantastic. Nice falls nearby for a good walk.

Disliked Outside pool is permanently closed. Told it will not re-open and has been closed for some time and should be advertised as such online but isn't.
£10 per person for entry to swimming pool spa, discounted to £9 per person. It's very expensive. 2hrs limit. Restaurant food is delicious and franchised so is very expensive. But as I say very very tasty.

Liked Returning couple. Came three years ago and loved it so came back and was great to see the upgrades to the site.
Loved the spa and enjoyed a lovely few hours here with my daughter
Phat forks was gorgeous food absolutely outstanding and wonderful friendly staff.
Great outdoor seating with some pool tables near to the entrance.
Lovely touring area with clean toilets and showers.
Stunning walk down to the falls. Couple of lovely pubs and a nice deli cafe and ice cream stall which we enjoyed.

Disliked Showers not that powerful. Also as hard standing was really difficult to pitch the tent even with hard standing pegs. saw a couple using a drill to get theirs in which seemed like a great idea. I tried to soak the ground a little but didn’t really work. We broke our mallet and then couldn’t put up our wind break.
Also..Shame that the outdoor pool is not open would be a gorgeous addition to the site.

Liked Beautifully kept park, walking distance from Cenarth Falls.
Fantastic onsite bar/restaurant, 'Phat Forks'.
Onsite indoor pool and spa, but we didn't use it as the weather was so beautiful, we went wild swimming in the falls instead!

Local attractions

You’ll want to start with a stroll around Cenarth, of course – those waterfalls are a 10-minute walk away, and the Teifi river is an excellent place for an amble, particularly when the salmon are jumping in late summer. It’s worth stopping in at the village’s National Coracle Centre to learn a bit about the traditional round boats, and taking the 10-minute drive to Caws Cenarth to sample the tasty local cheese. Cenarth’s also a handy location for outings to the coast – try Cardigan (15 minutes’ drive) for dolphin-spotting trips, or Aberporth (20 minutes) for beach days – or walks in the Preseli Hills, around 15 minutes away by car. Cilgerran Castle (15 minutes), the National Trust estate at Llanerchaeron (35 minutes) and the tiny city of St Davids (an hour) also make excellent days out. And if you’ve got the kids along, it’s quite possible (and reasonable) that they’ll be keen to add to the schedule days at Oakwood theme park and meeting the only giraffes in Wales at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (both around 45 minutes’ drive).
