What customers say

A quiet rural Anglesey spot lauded for its friendly owner and great location. Pitches are good-sized and level. Guests like the nearby pub. Facilities are basic, with limited toilets/showers, though upgrades are planned. Good value for a simple escape.

Liked When we arrived were greeted by Len (the owner). He showed us the facilities and had a good chat with us before we set up Owner Len very nice & helpful.

We had a big pitch with electric with plenty of space between us and other families.

The Site ideal as a base for exploring Anglesey and within an easy drive of the coast and attractions. the site was well kept.
There is a pub that serves food within walking distance.

Shower & toilet need a bit of updating but they were clean and tidy the new ones currently being built. .

For the cost it was ideal we will be returning.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Friendly & helpful owner, made us really welcome. Always available by phone.
Generous pitch with relaxed orientation.
Pub next door.
Views, horses and a cockerel that didn’t crow until about nine in the morning!
No traffic noise.
Good size shower with hooks and a shelf.
TV reception very good with antenna.

Disliked If you are a picky camper read all the reviews before booking.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked This was a really chilled out, quiet and friendly campsite, sitting next to a farm with the most quirky goats ever. We were non electric but there was electricity options for those who needed to charge phones or take a shower. The campsite is a few minutes walk from the local pub, in the smallest village (one street). Its pretty and was perfect for what we wanted. There was loads of walks around the area and within an easy drive of the coast and attractions.
All the other people/families there were tidy and friendly.
We woke up to wild birds singing and on a walk saw red kites around the nearby lake.

As camping sites go this place was ideal for our needs. Compact but still had what you wanted. The facilities are being upgraded so more toilets and showers on the way. Located close to a lovey pub B&B come caravan park.. It was ideal for what we wanted and at 20pounds a night with electric we were really happy. …More

One word WOW!!!!

First time taking the kids camping and after travelling 12 hours we were greeted by Len (the owner). He showed us the facilities and had a good chat with us before we set up camp.

When you arrive on site you call the mobile number displayed on the sign to speak to Len. He tells you what pitch you are assigned to and while you get to the pitch Len drives to meet you.

Facilities on site:

One toilet with a sink
One portaloo
Kitchen sink area (ideal for watching up or brushing teeth)
One shower (£1 to be inserted into the machine in the kitchen sink area)

The site is absolutely stunning. Well kept and very piece full. The site backs onto a field where there are horses who like to come say hello (caution though one is a bit nippy and one likes to headbutt)

There is a pub right next door called The Ring (they stop serving door at 830pm)

We will 100% be coming back as the 12hr journey is definitely worth it!!

Thank you Len for having us and look forward to seeing you again soon x

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Excellent pub the Ring Close by

Disliked Lack of showers and Toilets. Just one shower and one toilet for a site of around 15-20 pitches 40-60 people on site.
Single shower was poor quality unreliable.
Toilet constantly not working and needed to use a bucket to flush. Generally toilet and showers were very dirty. Large parts of the site also on steep slope.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Sorry you were disappointed at the site yet you said nothing whiles you were on site, strange . You may or may not whichever suits you that the new showers are near completion and the extra toilets to be installed, it's a real shame you will never see the completed block we will make sure of that, the proprietor.

Cheap site, don't expect too much and go prepared.

Powered cement/asphalt campsite

Liked Hard standing pitches. The owner can't do enough for you.

Disliked Nearly everything else. This is just our opinion, others that have been may correct me.
Toilet awful, 1 toilet for a fully booked site, yes it broke, but was repaired a few times, but its still awful,
Wash up area a mess. Showers £1.
Phone number for contact only, no one onsite.
Cash only.
NO wifi.
No where to exercise dogs, location is isolated, so need to drive everywhere.
Now there is new showers on the way, but I can't see them be finished anytime soon.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Sorry you did not enjoy you're stay and that you will never see the competition of the toilets and shower units , we will make sure of that.

Local attractions

A trip to Anglesey is usually all about the outdoor activities, and you’ll be well placed for those with a stay here. A drive of a little over five minutes will get you to a fishing spot at Llyn Alaw or a challenging but scenic round at Bull Bay Golf Club. Boats also head out from Amlwch harbour (five minutes’ drive) for sea fishing or just a bit of coastal sightseeing. There’s plenty of sightseeing to do on land too, whether you head out on the Anglesey Coast Path or aim for Parys Mountain (10 minutes’ drive) for a fabulous stroll through the colourful landscapes left behind by an ancient copper mine. The Copper Kingdom Centre (five minutes) will give you further insight into this aspect of the island’s past. And what about when you’d just like to sit on the beach, thanks very much? There’s a small stretch of sand at Amlwch, but you’d be better off heading to Lligwy (15 minutes), Church Bay (20 minutes) or Benllech (20 minutes) if you’re planning to spend a whole day swimming and sandcastle building.
