Up at the top end of the Isle of Anglesey is generally a great place to take a peaceful holiday – but it gets even better when there’s a local pub a mere 50 yards away. And that’s the situation you’ll find yourself in when you stay at Cae Ffynnon, part of a working farm about five minutes’ drive inland from Amlwch. Pitches at this small family-run site are well maintained and well located, within easy reach of walking trails, bike paths, beaches, boat trips and the port at Holyhead (about half an hour’s drive away for those boarding a ferry to Ireland). And of course there’s that village pub a short walk away for a good feed and a welcome pint after your day out. You’ll have plenty of space to spread out on your pitch when you’re staying here, and you’ll be provided with some handy amenities including an electric hookup and picnic bench for each pitch. Shared facilities include toilets, showers and a washing-up area and you’re welcome to bring dogs and kids along for a stay here. Being so close to Amlwch means that you’ll have easy enough access to shops and places to eat (and the beach…) despite your peaceful immediate surroundings.

喜欢 Great site, so peacefully, in a rural location. Showers/toilets on site, beautiful views across the farm fields, with goats and horses. You can get fresh eggs from the house next door, which are delicious!
Small site, so great for people really looking to get away from it all. Len, the site owner is great, he leaves you to it but there if you need him, just call. Nice large pitches with picnic tables and electric hook up if you want on hard standing and grass.
Great location for getting around the North Coast, towns and beaches.
Pub withing meters of the site, cocktails aren't great but handy for a few drinks and walk back to site. Great stars to be seen on clear night's. we LOVE it here. We stay with a 1 year old and it's perfect, not noisy, so he sleeps really well and plenty of space for our long wheel base and large awning.

喜欢 Very quite and small site, basic utilities but the showers were hot! Owners was lovely and very helpful. Would recommend for a peaceful break away

喜欢 Excellent location. Pub 2 mins away. Facilities very clean. Never feels too crowded. Owners are lovely. This was our second visit and will definitely be returning.

喜欢 Lovely campsite in a gorgeous location. The ponies were a great addition for the kids. Toilets and showers perfect for what you need when camping, spacious and hot water and well kept. There is electric to use in the washing up area and a fridge if needed. We had a great bank holiday weekend and will definitely be back. Len the owner was more than accommodating as well 😊

喜欢 A great site for all including the dog,,showers and toilets spotless on arrival and abut muddy by afternoon but we had rain so people in and out they going to get muddy...lenny who runs site was very friendly and full off information about the area,,we will be going again

不喜欢 The bins could do with emptying abit more as recycle bin was over flowing

喜欢 Rural site, hot showers, quiet night for sleeping, very little traffic noise during the night. Fairly close to lovely beaches. Good size hard standing pitch.

喜欢 Great site, Enjoyed our stay, Nothing too much trouble, only a phone call away for any help needed. Beautiful friendly horses & goats in the neighbouring field, Chickens walking round the camp come to say hello. Would definitely stay again. Great dog friendly pub just 2 mins walk.

A trip to Anglesey is usually all about the outdoor activities, and you’ll be well placed for those with a stay here. A drive of a little over five minutes will get you to a fishing spot at Llyn Alaw or a challenging but scenic round at Bull Bay Golf Club. Boats also head out from Amlwch harbour (five minutes’ drive) for sea fishing or just a bit of coastal sightseeing. There’s plenty of sightseeing to do on land too, whether you head out on the Anglesey Coast Path or aim for Parys Mountain (10 minutes’ drive) for a fabulous stroll through the colourful landscapes left behind by an ancient copper mine. The Copper Kingdom Centre (five minutes) will give you further insight into this aspect of the island’s past. And what about when you’d just like to sit on the beach, thanks very much? There’s a small stretch of sand at Amlwch, but you’d be better off heading to Lligwy (15 minutes), Church Bay (20 minutes) or Benllech (20 minutes) if you’re planning to spend a whole day swimming and sandcastle building.
