Grass pitches

  • Dog-friendly grass tent pitches on Anglesey with views of Snowdonia
  • A 10-minute drive from the beach and the Newborough nature reserve
  • Barbecues permitted on site; bus stop nearby; pub half an hour’s walk
Pack up your tents and poles and other essential holiday bits, for Campio Andy Camping is a lovely tents-only site in the village of Dwyran on the Isle of Anglesey. It’s likely you will rave about the views here for a long time to come, with Snowdonia in the distance. The local beach is absolutely boast-worthy too: the car park for Ynys Llanddwyn is just 10 minutes’ drive away. Look forward to dog-friendly grass pitches and space for barbecues (but no fires, please). There are grassy fields all around, although the site is also next to a main road with easy access to Niwbwrch (also known as Newborough), which has stepping stones, a great pub and access to walks through a nature reserve. Sleeping right next to a petrol station is always handy; the shop sells a few groceries if you need them. There’s also a bus stop nearby. On site, the facilities are made up of flushable toilets and a cold outdoor shower. Just for guests, the site also arranges private evening falconry demonstrations (weather permitting).

Primitive grass and earth campsite

Liked Great location 10 mins drive from Newborough Beach, clean toilets, fresh water and a cold water shower with drinking water. Andy is a top bloke who was on hand to welcome and chat with us, brought his hawk to show the kids, and even pinned up our washing that had blown away! Will be coming back next year!

Liked Andy was very welcoming and interesting to talk to, he had good local knowledge and would tell you exactly where you should go. The toilets were very clean and a nice touch with an outdoor cold shower, although the campsite is basic it’s perfect for those that like to camp as wild as you can. A clean, quiet, friendly place.

Liked We had a fantastic stay! Andy was incredibly helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He even took the time to show us some of the birds of prey, and we were lucky enough to hold them, which was such a memorable experience me and the children.

The campsite is in a brilliant location on Anglesey, right next to a strawberry-picking farm, which made for a lovely extra activity. It's also well situated for exploring the island and its attractions, We also had no problems at all with WiFi signal.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a friendly, well-located, fair priced place to stay. Thank you, Andy!

Liked Had such a lovely last minute stay last night, was sad to not be staying longer but will definitely be coming back and next time with our kids as it would of been the perfect camping spot with them with lots of space for them to run around. Beautiful views of the mountains, saw some bunnies in the evening. Toilets were nice and clean.
And the nearby beach is beautiful.

Also Andy is a great host and has some great knowledge of the local area and is very helpful. He also has birds he walks around with which kids would love!
