Liked Lovely modern feel caravan site.
Not too big. Lovely clean facilities only a few steps away from the pitches.
Site owners very friendly.
Lovely bridal path walks either side of the site. Perfect for our cockapoo to have a run.
Walking distance to local pub.

Disliked Nothing.

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Wow, I don’t even know where to start. We originally booked a 3 night stay and had messed up our days off - Kirsty kindly solved this by allowing us to arrive a night early. An original 3 night stay has now turned into us siting as we never want to leave 😂. I had started to loose hope that we would never find ‘the one’ after visiting several larger campsites but I’m confident when I say that this is the one. Kirsty is incredibly kind, accommodating and made us feel welcome from the point of booking. She makes the extra effort to check in with guests daily and works incredibly hard keeping the facilities immaculate. To add to the previous, we were allowed to choose our pitch upon arrival, there are cameras and a bollard which makes us feel safe on site and the list of ‘where to visit’ upon arrival was incredibly thorough and has helped us during our stay. A 12/10 site, would 10000% recommend.

Disliked Absolutely nothing - a perfect stay.

Lodge (hot tub, no pets)

Liked I recently stayed at Haulfryn Caravan Park in Wales, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The park is beautifully maintained, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside and coastline that make it feel both peaceful and refreshing.

The facilities were excellent – clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed to make the stay comfortable.

What really stood out was the warm and friendly service. The staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. They were always happy to help with local recommendations, which made exploring the area even more enjoyable.

Overall, Haulfryn Caravan Park is the perfect mix of relaxation, comfort, and adventure. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable break in Wales, and I’ll definitely be returning!

Lodge (hot tub, no pets)

Liked I booked a surprise a couple nights away for my husband as it was our wedding anniversary. When we arrived we was welcomed by Kirsty who showed great hospitality and accommodated to our needs. She also gave us a nice gift on our arrival which was sweet of her. The pod we stayed in had good facilities and it was nice and clean. We really enjoyed the hot tub, as a Muslim couple we didn’t had to worry at all about privacy which helped us really enjoy our stay.

Local attractions

Along with beaches, Flintshire and its surrounds have their fair share of top towns and trekking: head to Holywell – known as the Lourdes of Wales for its St Winifrede’s Well shrine and chapel – to see sights like Basingwerk Abbey’s ruins or to wander through Greenfield Valley Heritage Park. The town of Mold, also 10 minutes’ drive, is your spot for the Grade I-listed St Mary’s Church and a motte and bailey castle. Hike across the limestone cliffs of Bryn Alyn here or amble over to Prestatyn, the seaside town leading to the start of Offa’s Dyke Path (20 minutes away), for saunters on a section of this 177-mile-long trail. If you’re wanting to seriously work those legs, the highest peak in Wales is at Snowdonia National Park 45 minutes’ drive away. But not to worry if you’re already too shattered after all the other strolls: a train’s on hand to whisk you straight up to the top.
