What might you have planned for your north Wales break? Lots of walking or fishing perhaps? Adventure activities or family days out? Or just sitting out in the fresh air soaking up some rural views and peace? Any – or a mix of all – of the above are possible in the area around Ty Bedwen, in the Denbighshire countryside near the little village of Graianrhyd. This location is just on the edge of the Clwydian Range & Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and in a dark-sky area, so it makes a lovely little retreat where you can escape from everyday life and relax in real rural peace. A stay here likely to get even more attractive when you hear about the accommodation, as you’ll be staying in a spacious shepherd’s hut in its own secluded field with a private outdoor area with a firepit, barbecue and seating (plus space to park your car to keep things nicely convenient). Sleeping up to four, the hut has a double bed and a double sofa bed (with bed linen provided), an ensuite bathroom and a mini kitchen area with fridge and kettle. Heating is provided, and the door and window are both double glazed to make sure you stay nice and cosy at all times. All sorts of outdoor pursuits await in the surrounding area, including various walking trails, from challenging hikes to laidback pub strolls. For urban amenities such as shops and places to eat, head into Mold (15 minutes’ drive away).
