What customers say
This campsite earns praise for cleanliness, friendly staff, and well-kept facilities, including spotless restrooms. Guests loved the peaceful riverside sites and on-site clubhouse. The nearby golf club's food and atmosphere were also noted. While ideal for relaxation and exploring, some visitors found restroom cleanliness lacking and noted a shortage of amenities.

Lovely, quiet site. Very pretty and well maintained. Small pitches.

Liked The site is beautifully maintained and very clean, as are the toilet and shower blocks.
Seriously hot water available for washing your pots and pans.
Surrounded by lovely scenery yet only a short drive to Montgomery and Welshpool.
The adjacent golf club was a fabulous place to enjoy a drink, snack and watch the world go by.
Argae Hall campsite was very quiet and peaceful and you get a sense that the owners and the regular visitors take great care of the site.
Disliked The only potential negative is that the site feels quite claustrophobic with so many static caravans bunched together and the touring pitches so close together. You really are close to your neighbours to the point you can smell their food, hear their conversations/ noises.

Liked The area was lovely as a base for visiting some historic towns and castles. There is a clubhouse on site which is great for pub grub and a drink after a days sightseeing. Really friendly and helpful lady on reception when we arrived
Disliked There are only 2 loo cubicles in the ladies which were both unusable on the 2 occasions I went in due to being very dirty from previous users. Fortunately there was a disabled cubicle which I could use which was clean, and a pub a short drive away

Liked The site was lovely, right on the river and facility's were maintained. Pitches were a little cosy but the neighbours were very friendly. Club house was great and food was nice reasonably priced. My son loved the pool table which is free of charge. We would definitely return.
Disliked There was a fundraiser event that was very loud and went into the early hours of the morning.

Excellent site with clean facilities friendly staff and level pitches
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Cleanliness of site. Excellent hard standing pitches close to river. Great access road, level and with hook up and water supply. Toilets and wash facilities. Lady who greeted us was very friendly. Quiet, although early season and good road links. Proximity to amenities and Montgomery, Newtown etc.
Disliked That this is primarily a static caravan site and as such with the motorhome pitches being at the bottom, aesthetically the view is somewhat compromised. That part of the site, although close to the river is also in proximity to a road bridge and we could occasionally hear cars. Fortunately it’s a minor road and the bridge is single lane with traffic light control, so the noise was infrequent and not very obtrusive.
