Excellent campsite near Pen Y Fan.…
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Excellent campsite near Pen Y Fan. The host was very welcoming and made sure our stay there was absolutely brilliant. We forgot to bring matches to light a fire but the host was very nice and provided us with some. The facilities are very clean and there is everything one could need. The showers are very nice and warm too. Perfect for after a long day hiking.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Spacious, level gravel pitches. Toilets and showers were very clean and fresh. Plenty of hot water. Owners very helpful and friendly. Loved the walk straight from the campsite past some waterfalls and along a quite lane into Brecon (approx 1.6 miles). We were also able to walk up Pen y Fan directly from the campsite. This was a 10 mile loop following the route marked out on the board at the carpark, returning via Corn Ddu.

Lovely campsite, very friendly and helpful owners, donkeys and goats!
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked What a lovely little campsite! I was going to BikePark Wales and needed an overnight stay with my campervan, the campsite is 25 mins away so perfect.
The site is quiet (apart from the farm animals but I live in a sheep farming community so it didn’t bother me at all!), the grounds were nicely maintained, lovely clean modern toilets and showers and best of all the donkeys and goats which I could have spent all day fussing!
Also £27 for the night with hook up and free wi-fi was very good value for money, I was able to watch the Downhill Mountain Bike World Cup on my iPad, which was a bonus!

Close to Brecon Town.…
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Close to Brecon Town.
Disliked - Loud Traffic noise from main Road which is only 100m away.
- A lot of noise from farm machinery, starting early in the morning.
- Doors of Shower Rooms and Toilets can't be locked, so people are constantly barging in (Don't people know how to knock first before barging into a Toilet or Shower?).
- Showers aren't always hot. Had to have a cold shower after a hard walk in the mountains, even though there was no one at the campsite at that time of day.

From the manager: Hello, I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay with us. The showers and toilets doors can be locked, so I’m not sure how this happened. We are constantly checking the temperature of the showers. Also noise from the farm machinery is expected as you were staying on a working farm.
