  • Quiet meadow campsite on the edge of a traditional Welsh village
  • A quarter of an hour's drive from New Quay; Cardigan 25 minutes
  • Sheltered picnic area; firepits available to hire; honesty shop
Dyffryn Meadow Camping is a small family-run pop-up site located on a traditional Welsh smallholding deep in the Ceredigion countryside. The local area is bursting with wildlife, with red kites seen flying overhead on most days. The Afon Dulais river runs alongside the boundary of the field, where brown trout can be seen swimming; the kids are also welcome to play around here and build dams in sunny weather. It's generally very quiet around here, and the campsite is located off a peaceful unclassified road where you'll hear little traffic (aside from the odd tractor). Dyffryn Meadow Camping is a family-friendly site where the cars are parked away from the pitches, allowing kids to explore the site safely. Undercover picnic benches are available in a sheltered area for when you need to seek shelter from the elements, while on fine evenings you can hire a firepit from the site staff and get cooking in the open air. Hot showers are also available, and there's an honesty shop with basics and a few treats for your stay. The site is just a quarter of a mile from the small village of Talgarreg where there is a friendly local pub that serves traditional Welsh food. The larger seaside town of New Quay is about a quarter of an hour away where there are beaches, pubs and boat trips around Ceredigion Bay.
