Liked 5/5 Stars – Exceptional 8-Night Stay!
Just back from a fantastic 8-night stay, and we will definitely be back!
This is a great, well-run site managed by Nicky and Julian, who are truly wonderful hosts.
Highlights of our stay:
Facilities: The toilets and showers were kept exceptionally clean, with hot water always available whenever I used them.
Amenities: Washing-up facilities were practical and very good.
Location: A great base with convenient links to explore the area—easy to reach Aberystwyth, Aberaeron, New Quay, and many other brilliant surrounding spots.
Highly recommend to anyone looking to explore the Ceredigion coast. Huge thanks to Nicky and Julian for making our stay so enjoyable!

A must go too gem! 🏴🏴
Power optional grass campsite
Liked This is a little gem of a site .❤️ Not the biggest I've stayed on , but it's definitely on my "will go back too" list. Sometimes biggest isn't always the best after all. Quiet relaxed with lovely views.
Three shower rooms with w/c. Spotlessly clean, great shower. Pot washing facilities and cold water tap. Recycling bins of course .
The pub on the site is a great meeting place serving a great selection of beers ,ciders and spirits, no food available .
The hosts, are really really lovely , chatty, full of useful info re: the area.
I could only stay one night instead of the two I'd booked for, so couldn't say if any shops etc . Are withing walking distance .
Same goes for the general area re: walks etc.
No WiFi connection, but excellent mobile service .
Disliked Nothing to dislike tbh.
Just that for myself .... who hates cooking anyhow 🤣 food would have been welcome , but as I said it's not a deal breaker.

Liked Again Julian and Nickie were excellent hosts been here 3 times previously and it doesn't disappoint. Made absolutely better by red hot weather and the visit by a fantastic burger bar and a great night in the bar. Can still highly recommend this site as it's so relaxing and welcoming 5* all the way

A hidden gem that we'll definitely be visiting again
Power optional cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Where do we start?! The location, views, peace and tranquility, wildlife (resident chickens and rooster and daily up close visits by quite a few red kites) The facilities are clean and well maintained. The food truck visit on Saturday night was an unexpected treat. The site is a short, picturesque drive to a number of attractions and beaches. The owners are really friendly, welcoming and helpful. The electric hookup is metered on a prepay system but any unused credit is refunded (to the next pound).
We were also treated to a spectacular sky full of stars as there is zero light pollution.
The site doesn't have the bells and whistles of some others that we've visited but this is by no means a down side. It allows you to just slow down from everyday life and recharge.
Disliked A floor squeegee to remove excess water in the bathrooms would be great (they're all wet room style) Maybe some ventilation would be a bonus, especially as the weather was so hot.

Excellent site, would like to visit again if we travel this way.
Horizon Shine 1 bedroom camping pod
Liked Lovely view and quiet location. A really well equipped camping pod. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Nice hot showers and good facilities. They had a visiting pizza van on our first night which was a bonus too.
