  • Semi-wild site with sea views; a mile and a half from the coast
  • A 10-minute drive from Aberaeron and 25 minutes from Aberystwyth
  • Wifi and solar-powered USB charging; a mile from a butcher's and pub
Bryngwyn Uchaf is a semi-wild site close to Ceredigion's cracking coast. The sea can be admired from the main site field and is an easy half-hour walk or five-minute drive away. This west-facing site also catches some particularly pleasing sunsets… This back to basics spot is set in a rural location off a very quiet lane, so there'll be little to no traffic noise here. The A487 is a mile down the hill, though, so it's easy to tour a wide range of the Welsh coastline during your stay. The grounds here are flat, well-drained and bordered by trees and a shallow pond. Things are pretty off-grid at Bryngwyn Uchaf, but there's a compost loo and nifty solar-powered USB charging station for small devices like phones or cameras. You're welcome to set up a barbecue here and can source your dinner a mile away from base at Llannon's local butcher's. While in the village you can also opt for chef-made grub at the pub, wander down to the sea or catch a bus to other coastal spots like Aberystwyth (journey time 30 minutes).
