What customers say
A peaceful, scenic getaway. Guests loved the friendly hosts, unique showers, and alpacas. Private wooded sites, honesty shop, and coffee delivery were highlights. Great for exploring. Some noted separate parking, but most raved and want to return.

Everything I could ask for
Woodland Wonder primitive grass and earth tent campsite (six person, woodland)
Liked The location is so beautiful and so peaceful - it was a little bit of heaven.
We had the 'woodland walk' pitch and we loved being by ourselves and also being in a secure spot for our little dog to roam freely but safely.
The toilets/ washroom are immaculate. As are all the communal spaces. Attention to detail is shown in every aspect of the site. From fridge/freezer space, to fire pits and wood, to supplies you can buy at very reasonable prices.
Lynne is a genuinely beautiful person who makes you instantly feel like you're visiting a friend.
We can't wait to return and to stay for a longer period.
Disliked We had to come home

Sam's Super primitive grass tent campsite (Private restroom amenities, no pets)
Liked Me and my daughter had the best time. The host lynne was especially kind and accommodating. Being camped next to alpacas was amazing too- we even got to do the walk with an alpaca and we enjoyed this immensely.

Amazing place. Fantastic scenery and walking.…
Sam's Super primitive grass tent campsite (Private restroom amenities, no pets)
Liked Amazing place. Fantastic scenery and walking. Spotlessly clean everywhere, quiet and peaceful. Lots of happy animals. Facilities excellent but off grid (so composting toilets, no electric etc). There’s WiFi that works well and a communal fridge / freezer.
Our pitch (Sam’s) had an amazing outdoor kitchen area with everything you could possibly need.
We did an alpaca walk and loved it. Loads of fun and surprisingly mischievous animals.
The walk from farm to the top of the Iron Age hill fort is well worth it for the views.
Disliked Honestly can’t think of anything! If you get good weather (as we did) it’s as close to perfect as you can get.
