  • Warm, cosy yurt, sleeps six, self-catering.
Our beautiful, hand made, warm, cosy yurt is situated in our farmhouse garden, in a rural setting close to the village of the Bridge of Earn. The yurt is a cosy, unique space in which you can relax and unwind. It is suitable for families and friends who enjoy spending time together. There are three futon beds and bedding and towels are provided. There is a wood burning stove with a basket of logs which keeps the yurt warm and toasty even in the depths of winter, there is electricity and tea and coffee making facilities. There are games, books, magazines, and arts and crafts materials. There is a shower and composting toilet directly behind the yurt, this might be shared with a maximum of 2 other guests, from The Haven. You have access to our large garden where there is a quirky outdoor kitchen with stove, bbq and pizza oven enabling you to be able to self-cater. Breakfast basket included. Ideally situated for families and friends wishing to explore Perthshire. Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Cairngorm mountains all easily accessible by car or public transport.

Local attractions

Ideally situated for families and friends wishing to explore Perthshire. Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Cairngorm mountains all easily accessible by car or public transport. Shops and Cashpoint There is the Co-operative Shop in the Bridge of Earn which is also a post office and has a cash point machine. There is also a pharmacy and a baker’s in the Bridge of Earn. Local Pubs and Restaurants In the Bridge of Earn there are three pubs, The Tipsy Coo The Village Inn (great food!) and The Earn Cafe. There is a fish and chip shop, Chinese takeaway and Indian restaurant/takeaway Local Walks To the North is Moncrieffe Hill which is our local beauty spot, managed by The Woodland Trust, it has a number of very well marked walks of varying lengths. To the South are the Ochils and there are some lovely walks to the top which offers amazing views of the valley . There is a Roman fort at the top! There is also a very pleasant circular, flat walk which takes about an hour directly from the yurt and includes a wood which is now inhabited by beavers. Perth is a vibrant city with excellent shopping facilities, a leisure pool, a Concert Hall and Cinema, two beautiful parks (the North and South Inch), gardens and lovely woodland walks up Kinoull Hill.. There are large number of restaurants and bars. There is also a Tourist Information Centre on the High St. Public Transport There is a regular bus service (every half an hour) into Perth from the Bridge of Earn. The Ember Bus stops in the Bridge of Earn and goes to Dundee and Edinburgh, you need to book online for this. There is a railway station in Perth providing a regular service to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and beyond! Petrol Station The nearest petrol station is on the way into Perth, on Edinburgh Road, just next to Tescos.
