Great campground, clean facilities, easy to book and stay.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: Good access to bathrooms, shower nearby, great view of the water, good facility for cooking and a sheltered place to eat or rest.
Disliked: Midges! The site in the woods and right on the water was beautiful, but also meant more midges.

Liked: Beautiful camp site. Facilities were basic as expected from the website details but all functional. Great having a wooden hut on site as a refuge in bad weather. Staff were friendly. A lovely stay.
Disliked: Nothing to dislike really.

Liked: I spent 3 nights at the Rum site with my Grandson. Climbing and nature watching.
Although the weather was mixed and the midges wild the site facilities and location where ideal for our needs and we plan to return in the not too distance future.

Disliked: One numpty who shouted into his phone at 6 in the morning - why do people think this is ok on a campsite ? !

Great view and excellent location

Liked: Great location on the shore, between the ferry and the shop. Lovely view. Provision of chairs and cooking stands was appreciated, also a shelter with solar USB charger and binoculars. I didn't try the showers, but the compost toilets were as good as they can be. The island is a great place to visit for nature and hiking.
Disliked: It would be great if you could cover some of the gaps on the shelter with mesh to keep midges out!

Liked: Gorgeous location on seashore. Cooking shelter very handy for avoiding pesky midges in the morning and evening. New composting toilets right by the camping area. Showers down the lane for the campsite but more than adequate. Washing up /teeth cleaning sinks with a view. Easy to get to trail heads and the shop.

Liked: Everything! This was my second visit in around six weeks, and when I posted my earlier review, I complained about the ice-cold showers. The issue has been fixed, and the showers -- or at least the one I used -- are now deliciously warm. There are also new composting toilets which are much closer to the campsite -- no more need to stumble that 300m in the middle of the night. Everything you could want in a campsite -- ability to charge devices, aforementioned showers and toilets, bbq pits, chairs and tables, a wee shelter that's just, well, handy, a drying line (pegs included), and views to die for. Helpful and friendly staff in the bunkhouse to answer any questions. Located mid-way between ferry pier and general store (~10min walk to each).
