Premium site with friendly welcome
FHU gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked The welcome - site staff so welcoming and full of useful info. Toilet block was outstanding, with individual heated bathrooms and excellent showers. Although only staying for the night we were advised to walk out to the gorge - glad we did, what a sight. 10/10 site
Disliked Just booked for the one night - should have stayed for more

Liked Good facilities.
Disliked Disappointing Welcome at Reception
We had been driving all day and were simply looking for a place to rest for the night. We arrived at 8:00 p.m., fully aware that the check-in time listed on the booking was 5:00 p.m. However, the way we were treated on the phone upon arrival was very unwelcoming — as if we had committed some major offense.
We understand that arriving late may cause some inconvenience, but as tourists, it's often difficult to predict exact arrival times when on the road. If strict check-in times are non-negotiable, please make this extremely clear in large print before the booking — rather than making guests feel like a burden when they arrive.
There are many other camper van sites that are more flexible and accommodating with late check-ins, and we would gladly choose them next time.

FHU gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Peaceful location, friendly staff. Clean amenities. Really well situated for exploring, excellent walks nearby which was great with a dog
Disliked A couple of areas could benefit from a tidy up at the back of the bins

Excellent site, clean, quiet, welcoming, dog friendly, great staff x
Camping pod
Liked Everything. The best campsite toilets/showers, a full individual bathroom to yourself. Site looked not just well maintained but I felt loved. Campers kitchen, was cosy. I travelled with a dog and stayed in the wigwam style pod and the cosiness, micro/oven/ grill combi and kettle was so welcome. Walks for dog immediately from the door in to fantastic community woodland. A great base for exploring Highlands. Great pub few mins from site plus a very good coop. Great value can't wait to return.... to the peace.
Disliked Tiny fridge in the heat was useless. Milk went of too quickly and couldn't keep any fruit or veg. Only relevant if staying more than one night. Bigger tiny fridge would be great. Although tiny fridge is big enough for 2 tins, but not cold.
