- Luxury glamping pods with countryside views in northwest Fife
- Half an hour’s drive from Stirling and Perth; 45 minutes from Glasgow
- Sauna available; woodland cycles from the site
Nights under the stars, days on woodland trails and mealtimes on your wooden deck overlooking the countryside of northwest Fife… Meadow View Glamping is already sounding like a mighty fine place to stay.
The luxury self-catering glamping cabins make a great place for a rural retreat, with low light pollution for spectacular views of the stars, and patio furniture to bring extra comfort to those all-important stargazing or wildlife-spotting activities. A sauna is available (book when you arrive) if you need a little extra relaxation (towels are provided).
Whether you’re after a dedicated wildlife/star-spotting getaway or simply a relaxed weekend away, this glamping site is a wise, wise pick. It’s a splendid base for exploring central Scotland too, being half an hour’s drive from the cities of Stirling and Perth and 45 minutes from Glasgow and 50 minutes from Edinburgh.
Craving a bike ride or a splendid stroll? The surrounding woodlands make a fab setting for such things. If you’re looking for a set of ingredients for a home-cooked meal on your balcony instead, there's a village shop half an hour's walk away in Powmill village (which also has a gift shop and a café).
Need a little more action? Knockhill Racing Circuit is five minutes’ drive from Meadow View Glamping. As well as hosting motorsports races, it has driving experiences and track days, so you can channel your inner racer if you wish.

Local attractions
This is Scotland, so of course a golf course must be just a short drive away. The Gleneagles Hotel (25 minutes’ drive), with its championship golf courses, is set to impress golfers. A little further on, St Andrews (an hour) has a host of golfing attractions too, and very strollable medieval streets.
Which city is calling your name first? Is it Stirling (half an hour), with its old town and its medieval castle? Perth (half an hour), with its art gallery and the Black Watch Museum all about Scotland’s Highland Regiment? Dundee (55 minutes), known for its nautical museums? It is on the sea, after all.
If it’s Scotland’s biggest two that you’d like to tick off first and foremost, there’s plenty to add to your tick list. In Glasgow (45 minutes), take in the big musical scene and venues such as The National Theatre of Scotland and the Scottish Opera. The capital, Edinburgh (50 minutes), has a medieval old town and Edinburgh Castle for history aficionados or the hilltop Arthur’s Seat for the more adventurous sorts who want views over the big city.
Must see
- Linlithgow Palace (11.9 miles)
- Gleneagles, PGA Centenary (12.0 miles)
- National Wallace Monument (14.1 miles)
