What customers say
This well-kept, clean site has friendly staff. It's a great stopover, walking distance to Gretna Green and local spots. Facilities are mostly clean but a bit dated. Showers are great value. Pitches are good-sized with some privacy. Some noise from nearby events was noted.

Easy access from the M6, clean & quiet site with everything we needed.

Liked We stayed at Braids Caravan Park for a couple of nights on our way up to Scotland from The Midlands. We pre arranged a late check in (8pm) with Pam, due to work commitments, and were greeted by the Warden after accessing our barrier & toilet/shower key. Very friendly greeting and directed us to our pitch. We were on pitch C5 with electric hook up and close to the amenities block where we could access fresh water. The showers require 20 pence and were hot and lasted 7 or 8 minutes. The site is a 20 minute walk to the shopping village, both being dog friendly. Braids is a lovely clean & quiet site with easy access from the M6 and we would definitely visit again when heading north.

Lovely clean site with good size…
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Lovely clean site with good size pitches. There are plenty of bins around the site to clean up after your furry friends. There is a laundry and lines around the site to dry outside. We had lovely weather so they came in very handy for drying towels.
The owners are knowledgeable about places to eat and there are vouchers available for money off at some of the local hotels. Everything is within walking distance,so we didn't need to move our motorhome. The site is very safe as you have a fab for the gate into the site & a key for the toilets & shower block.
Disliked We would've liked information on local walks in the little hut.

Great value for money and fabulous location .
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked The cosy atmosphere. Showers smelt lovely and were adequate with 10mins of hot water for 20p. It's within walking distance of Gretna green by the short cut through the fields under the railway line/station . Shops for baguettes near by and co op close . Outlet centre within walking distance and few pubs along the route . There's also a lovely park coast walk with views of the Solway . Out of the site and turn left ,walk along to the shops and turn right at the main shops . Walk all the way down to the park and keep going through a mud track . This will bring you out at the mud beds and sea . Fabulous wildlife and views .
