Liked: Clean, well laid out, good facilities. Good kids facilities for young kids. Not far from Longleat. Great showers.
Disliked: Restaurant closes very early. Weird rule about under 18s not being allowed unattended anywhere on site - complete opposite of what we’d expect a family camping experience to be where kids are used to having freedom. We didn’t completely abide by it as it is not possible with our kids ages but it meant we felt like we were always uncomfortable. Toilets were also a very long way from the pitch. Laundry facilities didn’t work properly and very expensive.

Liked: There is a cafe on site with play park, soft play, splash tunnel and mini golf. Stayed on site all of Saturday with plenty to do :) Staff were friendly and helpful
Disliked: Shower and toilet block would benefit from being larger - two toilets and three showers for the site to share. Showers were warm but had to keep pressing the button to turn the water on. Was difficult to shower small children but manageable. Not a dislike but just to note - walk from tent pitches to toilets is dark so definitely need a torch.

Liked: Pitches were a great size and well maintained. Activities within the grounds were amazing, that's why we picked this mainly to keep the kids entertained, with them being 1 and 4 years old.
Disliked: We had requested to be next to a group party and over the phone it had all been sorted, then when turning up we had been allocated different sections. Not a huge booboo but with my family being the youngest and the furthest away we could not leave them in the tent alone.

Liked: I liked the website that's why I booked. Customer service. Shower snd toilet
Disliked: We were in the back filed pitches are very close together. Really no other room to play when all pitches booked. No as big as we thought. No where to walk the dog off the lead. Outside guest can use the play area and cafe so was very busy, WiFi went down and food wait was hour. Also kids meal was very small for the price amd so was some of the adult goods. Only 2 toilets. 3 showers.

Liked: All staff at Fairwood are friendly and helpful. Pitches are kept to a high standard, divided by various, pretty coloured shrubs. Toilets/showers are very clean. Cafe offers a good range of sandwiches and ice cream. Soft play area and outdoor play area are very good, our children spent ages there. Walk around the lake is lovely. Good pubs within a short drive.

Liked: The staff were very helpful and friendly. The site was tidy and had everything we needed for our four night stay. The toilet and shower room was very clean. There were lots to do with children ... a soft play area, a lot of playground equipment and an area for ball games. Although everywhere was muddy the lake area and would clearly be beautiful in sunnier months.
Disliked: You could hear regular trains going by. This did not disturb us much.

Liked: Soft play, gravel pitches, friendly staff, delicious food in the cafe, clean toilets, play areas and walks. Beautiful site.
Disliked: Bit of a long walk to the toilets as only one block which is not in the field of pitches. Waste disposal area a bit smelly.
