General

  • Secluded, spacious pitches on a family farm in Wiltshire countryside
  • A 20-minute drive to Salisbury and half an hour from Stonehenge
  • On-site store, butchers and café, weekend barbecues and pubs nearby

Farley Camping is based on a working farm near a quiet village on the Wiltshire and Hampshire border. Owned by the same family since the 14th century, today it is an arable and livestock farm, so you’ll be able to look out over the fields and see cows grazing peacefully.

Down a farm track, this is a secluded spot that’s all about the natural world, plus all those little extras that make a holiday special. There are hot showers and loos dotted around the place, and on site there’s a little shop serving up proper coffee and freshly baked pastries every morning.

As well as basics like milk and bread, you can also stock up on award-winning burgers produced from the farm’s grass-fed Aberdeen Angus cattle, plus free-range eggs, chicken and rare-breed handmade sausages, and there are communal barbecues over the weekend too. And by the way – there are also plenty of local pubs if you fancy a night off from cooking.

This is a free-form campsite with 12 acres to play with, so just pick a spot you like the look of and get settled in. And should you ever want to leave, Salisbury, Stonehenge and the New Forest are all less than half an hour’s drive away. You can even be on the beach at Bournemouth in 50 minutes, for days of family fun messing about in the sea.

I booked a night's stay, tent, non electric and paid £25 (overpriced, I expect) but then had to isolate after being contacted by the NHS. I email Farley campsite four days before my stay to explain what had just happened and if its possible to stay on another date (not a refund). Never heard back again. I emailed again, i called the site phone number, no one ever answers, only get an answer machine, left messages. I've tried to call every day, to no avail. All I wanted was another patch of grass on another day but nothing. I appreciate these campsites were closed during lockdown and lost revenue but i also lost all of my income when the virus hit and thus, this was a treat to myself. They completely blanked me, took my money and couldn't even be polite and just at least say I could come another time. That is such a bad way to treat your customers. Just please, anyone looking to book for the future at this site, if you get pinged or get the virus yourself and cant make it, you will not get your money back as they have utterly no sympathy for a situation like that. Thanks for nothing Farley camping.

Great farm campsite in a beautiful location. Back to basic charm08/08/2021

Space, location, friendliness. They also do a great bbq on weekends with produce for the farm and coffee in a little shop. A laidback place to come a chill out. Weather wasn’t great but field was not muddy, access track did get a bit muddy but it did rain a lot and was fine getting down in car. Would come again as it is a really big space like no other campsite i have been too. Tents pitches her probably at least 10m away from each other. Dogs and fire allowed. Great location pub too.

Toilet facilities discussing. Shower was appalling, and dangers, drastic change in temperature whilst showering to scalding point. Entrance to site track was so flooded and slippery, 1 car had to be towed out by a tractor. Shop on site very expensive.

Portaloos where a bit “stale” but that could of been due to the clientele that camped there that weekend. Could be checked more often
