What customers say
Charming, peaceful riverside campground with a friendly vibe. Guests love the helpful staff, great food at the pub, and beautiful location. Facilities are clean & functional, though some suggest updates & more restrooms during peak times. Dog-friendly with river access on some sites. Despite minor amenity concerns, many found it a good value and would revisit.

Pub does great food and what…
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Pub does great food and what a lovely little campsite! Hard standing and EHU available or just your standard grass pitch. Facilities look a little tired, but were clean and do the job. The Owners are friendly and have only been here a few months and it has lots of potential, look forward to see what happens. Definitely coming back!

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Great location, lovely views, friendly and welcoming staff, local beer in the pub 2 minute walk. Lovely walk to Pewsley town, had a lovely peaceful weekend away, unfortunately had to leave due to work

Very basic for the price but pub food good
Power optional cement/asphalt campsite
Liked The area is very rural and the pub food was great . We had late sunday lunch .
It was a nice site near the trout stream & was mostly peaceful . Local bus into Marlborough was useful too.
Disliked I did feel for the price that the site was shabby . One toilet with a broken seat . 2 showers but the shower was good and hot . It all needed updating . The washing up area had no light switch and was a bit rough and ready . I hope as the owners are fairly new that they will update everything. as the area is nice

Site needs a serious overhaul as do the facilities.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked The river was nice.
Disliked Site needs a much needed overhaul, as very basic. Toilets and showers very out dated and the washing up room also out dated. Arrived on site to find that the Pub was shut and no staff about. Only found out that the place was meant to be shut over the weekend, as owners were getting married. I hadn't been told, as we're some of the other campers, hadn't been told.

Good value, great pub, hood bus route.
Power optional cement/asphalt campsite
Liked It was in a lovely setting and the oub was great, however, it was shut on the Saturday as they were getting married. We weren't informed of thid by Pitch Up
Disliked The toilet and shower facilities weren't great. There was only 1 ladies toilet and the toilet seat was completely broken. I did mention this to the barman and he did know about it and said the owners intended to renovate these in the closed season so hopefully this will improve things. There was a caravan on site which looked permanent and they had children riding around on a quad bike which was very noisy at times. This needs to be addressed

Friendly check in. No fuss.…
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Friendly check in. No fuss. Pretty and small campsite next to a lovely canal. Very pretty local area and the village of Pewsey is really quaint. The locals are so friendly. Decent playground in the pub garden.
Disliked Amenities block was basic at best. Only one ladies toilet with a loose toilet seat. Grubby by day 2. No toilet roll by day 3.
Grubby showers with no shelves whatsoever to put anything down on. Traffic noise was a little annoying.

Could be nice with some upgrading.
Primitive grass campsite (adults only)
Liked Riverside pitches in the main field looked nice for those who could get them. Might be tranquil at other times (very noisy on bank holiday weekend). Nice food at the inn.
Disliked ‘Adult only’ pitches by the river were mostly taken up by families with young children and their cars parked along the bank. No fire-safe separation between pitches. Our neighbours’ fire of smashed pallets almost set fire to our sun canopy. Allocating pitches might help. Rubbish and burnt out metal in the field we were in. Only one toilet for women, no toilet roll.

Lovely setting, nice people and basic facilities.
Primitive cement/asphalt campsite
Liked Lots of Space. I liked not having to pay extra for awning & tent!
Nice owners.
Relaxed Setting.
Shower is fine.
Great for dogs.
Disliked Toilet drains overflowing with toilet waste. Lack of pitch organisation. Only 1 toilet in women’s and always a queue.
Pub food a bit expensive.

Lovely couple I met.…
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Lovely couple I met.
Disliked Only one female toilet, which was broken, the washing pots area very run down, needs knocking down and new area put up. The pub was very nice but had no hot chocolate for my daughter and asked for a basket of chips, said would be a long wait. Apart from meeting a lovely couple while camping, this place needs revamping and organisation.
