Liked: We were completely alone, and really felt like we were wild camping. However, we still had access to a toilet and shower which was great. Instructions were good, and you can rent a fire pit and buy some firewood to keep warm at night. On a clear night, we had amazing views of the stars.

Liked: Amazing location with really nice views and walking routes, really quiet; exactly what we wanted. A town was 20 mins away which allowed us to stock up on food when needed.
Disliked: On arrival there was no one there, I walked around the farm and called the number on the conformation email 2/3 times to no avail. Luckily we saw a family just leaving who pointed us in the direction of the pitches but still unsure if we were in the right location. There was also no sign of the fresh eggs, sausages and bacon for sale as advertised and didn't know where the toilet/shower facilities were but we had our own provisions with us.

From the manager: Dear Daniel,
We send a very comprehensive email prior to your arrival which gives instructions and step by step photos on how to find the farm, where to park, how to get to your pitch, which pitch number you have been allocated and where to find the loo and the shower! The email explains that we operate the wild camping as a 'hands off' facility - with just four secluded pitches we obviously can't justify having a 'campsite manager' or similar, hence the information email. The email also tells you what to do if you would like to buy logs, sausages, eggs, etc - it's a self service system and stock of everything is kept in the wash room.
Best wishes
Shelley
