  • Pubs within 20 minutes’ walk and a village store within 10 minutes
Time for some serious adults-only downtime in gorgeous and peaceful Somerset countryside? Haste ye to family-run Daisy Farm, a pop-up campsite 10 minutes’ drive from Highbridge in Somerset, which has simple facilities including a shower and loo (and please note, no electricity). The grass pitches are on a fourth-generation, family-run working farm, with a dairy herd grazing right next to the camping field and curious donkeys to befriend. Dogs are welcome, and your canine companions can look forward to lots of exercise on country walks. Please just keep them under tight control while on site. There’s a village store 10 minutes’ walk away selling artisan produce, but you don’t have to stray that far for a taste of Somerset, as the site owners serve up their own delicious cream teas (please order in advance) featuring homemade cakes, jam and scones as well as local cream. You can also buy free-range eggs and vegetables fresh from the farm to add to your alfresco barbecue feasts. Fancy a change of scenery? Leave the car behind at your pitch and amble along the quiet Somerset lanes to a couple of local pubs (both around 20 minutes’ walk) that both serve outstanding food.

Liked Flat very spacious pitches with lovely country views. There are 2 unisex toilets and 2 showers, which are lovely and hot with great water pressure. I’ve off the showers had a sink and mirror as well. There is also a washing up sink.

The owners are really friendly and recommended a visit to Wedmore which was beautiful I can recommend the deli for lunch.

The campsite was lovely I would recommend if you are looking for a lovely back to basics campsite we would definitely stay again.

Liked Daisy Farm is beautiful and the hosts are just lovely.
Beautiful big green lawns, electric hook up, super clean toilets and showers and our neighbours were lovely.
We will definitely stay again

Disliked The only negative I have is unfortunate and nothing to do specifically with Daisy Farm, and that’s the ability to go on a long dog walk (the country roads were very busy with no footpath).

Before we return I’ll message the hosts about safer dog walks. I hadn’t thought of that before we went, so that’s on me.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked We booked and arrived late on in the day. We were greeted by a lovely text from Austin and Annabel. The site was very nice with 2 cute donkeys in the field.
One toilet and shower was in an old part of the building which was a little dated but very clean and the other toilet and shower was a new. These were also very clean. There was a little vintage shop with a fridge selling jams, apple juice and creams. There is also a pot washing area. Again all very clean to say its a farm.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Daisy Farm is lovely, quaint and has immaculate facilities. The owner sends you a welcoming text to outline how to access the site. On our arrival she came over to show us where everything was. Beautiful little site just off M5 and close to Burnham on sea and Weston super mare. We will definitely be back.
