Primitive grass campsite
Liked: My husband and I stayed at this campsite for two nights, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely lovely—friendly, approachable, and always happy to help.
The campsite itself was extremely easy to find and very well laid out. Everything was spotless and tidy, with a clear sense of care and attention to detail throughout. The toilet and shower facilities were by far the best we’ve ever seen at any campsite—modern, clean, and clearly well maintained.
We pitched our tent towards the lower end of the field, which turned out to be a perfect spot. There’s a beautiful walk nearby, and several friendly locals we met—both at the site and in the nearby pub garden—were kind enough to recommend walking routes and share tips. We also received a clear map of the site when we arrived, which made everything even easier to navigate.
The atmosphere was so relaxed, yet the team still provided all the information we needed in a really approachable and engaging way. Everyone we spoke to had nothing but great things to say about the site, and we absolutely agree.
I’ve been going through a very tough time personally, and having only stayed for two nights, I can honestly say the experience has done me the world of good. It was just the reset I needed.
We’ll definitely be back—and we’re already recommending it to friends!
Disliked: To be honest, there really wasn’t anything to dislike. The only small thing was that I would’ve loved to try some of the great food that was on offer, but unfortunately the timing just didn’t work out during our visit, as the food service times didn’t align with when we were around. This absolutely isn’t a downside to the site itself—just one of those things.
If I had one positive suggestion, it might be to consider a small on-site shop for essentials or snacks, particularly on days when the pub isn’t serving food. But again, this didn’t take away from the experience at all—we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Liked: Great location, staff, facilities, music and cider! Plenty of space for 3 campers, no EHU. Can walk to local villages but everything you need for a couple of nights is on site.

Liked: Incredibly good value
Delicious cider
Amazing free entertainment
Staff polite
Nice pitches
Quiet at night
Disliked: Nothing really, only improvement I could think would be some signal boosters for the WiFi. Saying that, it's not a signal black spot and I could still get 4g.

Liked: Good clean toilet/shower block. Also liked the different defined areas - adult only, quiet, group, family. Liked the peacefulness of site
Disliked: Would have preferred flatter area for camping, the only small flat area was occupied with campervans, maybe mark that section for tents only

Liked: Pub on site, good facilities, close to Bath and in a nice area.
Disliked: The bathrooms do need to have somewhere to put things when changing, like a shelf or a table to avoid putting things on the floor. The water was also scalding hot. The check in hub was closed on arrival and no instructions where to go to check in instead.
