What customers say
This is a basic, off-grid woodland campsite, great for self-sufficient RVs and campervans. Guests love the peaceful, secluded natural setting and wildlife. However, it's often hard to find due to poor signage. Recent reviews mention an unpleasant smell from the chemical disposal point and overgrown sites. Some note a busy road nearby, though noise often fades at night. It's appreciated for its simplicity and value, but tidiness and clearer directions are needed.

Primitive gravel RV campsite
Liked Proximity to the Tank Musuem was ideal, but thats as far as it goes.
Disliked Just about everything else about this site put us off... firstly the sign is tiny and very easy to miss.
A sawn off branch has been left hanging over the immediate entrance - taller mororhomes, beware.
It's incredibly overgrown and this means the photos provided are deceptive. A strimmer would easily re-establish the pitches. Despite the listing suggesting it was suitable for motorhomes, we would disagree. Much smaller site, access road and pitches than photos suggest.
2 glaming pods at the very beginning and the only pitch available to us was right at the back of them - we could hear them yelling at their children through their walls and ours.
No access to the woodland at the rear/side of the site. I pushed through the nettles/shubbery and it was VERY obvious that it was regularly being used as a toilet.
Drinking water directly next to the elsan point (i.e a manhole to the cess pit).. no thanks.
The site is completely unmanned and maintenance practically nonexistent.

DONT GO
Primitive gravel RV campsite
Liked None really
Disliked Place hard to find and no road signage, pictures on pitch up are not a reflection on the actual site, site is uneven in a wood clearing, if you park below the septic tank all you smell is sewerage, with no facilities people are using the woods as a toilet. No reception as stated.
