  • Secluded, well-equipped yurts on a ten-acre Devon smallholding
  • Exmoor National Park half an hour's drive away; beaches 45 minutes
  • Kitchen, private toilet, barbecue and firepit for each yurt
Hazy Valley Glamping is a north Devon site that’s part of a ten-acre smallholding run by friendly owners Matt and Katie. The village of Witheridge is about a mile away, with a handy bunch of amenities including a convenience store, café, pub/and restaurant, plus a regular collection of pop-up takeaways (the pizza van on Wednesdays, fish and chips on Fridays and a Thai van every other Saturday…) Fancy a walk? Stroll down to the village along the single-track lane (just keep an ear out for traffic) or join the Two Moors Way coast-to-coast path 500 metres away. For something less strenuous, wander around the site’s hill meadow or down to the pond – both are great places to sit and chill out among the wildlife too. Down at the bottom of a secluded valley, the yurts are set well apart so that neither is visible from the other. Each one has a woodburner, a double bed and a couple of kids’ camp beds. A clear removable crown cover at the top means you can fall asleep gazing at the stars if you like. Although they’re off grid, the yurts have a water supply for a pump tap and Matt and Katie will make sure you’ve always got fully charged lights and provide gadget charging. Each yurt has a private kitchen on the deck with a pump tap, a gas hob and a cool box and you’ll also have a barbecue, firepit and plenty of crockery and utensils. Firewood, towels and bedding are provided so all you’ll need to bring is your food. Each yurt has a separate composting loo and a pump shower; there’s also a hot shower in the woods shared between the yurts.
