  • Quiet and secluded Dartmoor pitches for tents and vans, in a stone's throw of the Merrivale stone row.
We're Sam and Lisa (and our two kids, Aluna and Lyra), and we're building this place slowly and properly, because we live here and we mean to stay. Longash is a 15-acre smallholding on Dartmoor, with a handful of simple pitches for tents, campervans and small caravans, tucked away from the house and screened by the land itself. It's a quiet, unfussy corner of the moor, close to ancient woodland, open moorland walking and the Bronze Age stone row just up the track. You'll have access to a guest toilet and shower, drinking water, and a fire pit if you'd like one, but otherwise it's your own pitch to enjoy as you please. Bring your own set-up and settle in. Nights here are properly dark and quiet, just stars and the odd owl. Mornings bring mist off the river and birdsong. You're a short walk from the Dartmoor Inn for a well-earned pint, and close enough to Tavistock for its market and shops. We also run two small glamping units on site, Fyxen (a bell tent) and Trēowbur (a tiny home), if you fancy an upgrade another time, but this listing is for those who'd rather bring their own.
