Powered grass campsite
Liked: The greeting on arrival was happy and pleasant and gave a chance to check out the small - but well stocked with essentials - shop on site. Pitches are amazingly well laid out with plenty of space between and easy access to drinking water.
The enclosed dog area was a bonus and meant that our pup could be exercised without having to worry about disturbing other users.
Being in a motorhome we were self contained and didn’t need to use the toilets or showers so can’t comment on them beyond looking good from the outside, but the chemical disposal area was fantastic - cleaned regularly, everything you’d need to empty waste on hand, and with plenty of space to move in.
There is an onsite games room but we didn’t use it so can’t say anything other than it exists. But if it’s like the rest of the site, it’ll be in good condition.
The site also has a private airstrip that staff advised us can get noisy for brief periods when planes arrive/depart, but we didn’t experience it so can’t say just how noisy it gets.
This place is a hidden gem that’s well worth a stay.
Disliked: The only downside to the site isn’t one they can do anything about: the road to the site gets narrow in places with little chance of passing other vehicles, slow and steady is advised when driving the last half mile.

Liked: Only stayed 1 night, but was perfect. Plenty of toilets and hot showers.. birdsong surrounding us... ideal location for exploring abit more of the SWCP .

Liked: Easy access and well maintained pitches. Owners very helpful, showers and toilet facilities a bit tired but very clean and plenty of hot water. Lovely walks including SWCP, also close to Donkey Sanctuary. 2 local pubs and great cafe at Branscombe beach which has a sauna,
