  • Simple glamping domes in Devon's scenic South Hams area
  • A mile from Kingsbridge; 10 minutes' drive to Salcombe
  • Dog-friendly site; firepit and firewood provided for each unit
Surrounded by the stunning scenery of the South Devon National Landscape, about a mile from Kingsbridge, Estuary Escapes is a lovely spot for a peaceful rural break in the wonderful South Hams area. As the name implies, you’ll look out over the Kingsbridge Estuary from this farm location, with open fields and big open skies forming the rest of the backdrop. The glamping domes have been set up to make the most of this lovely setting – a real highlight is the chance to spend the evening relaxing by the firepit under the star-filled skies. Inside, the simple but cosy domes have proper beds (with bed linen provided) plus bunting overhead and rugs on the floor to keep things comfy underfoot. Nearby shared facilities include a shower, a toilet and a mini kitchen with fridge, kettle, microwave and washing-up sink. Nearby Kingsbridge is a handy hub for shops, takeaways and pubs – and you can walk there in about 20 minutes if you don’t fancy taking the car. The surrounding area has lots of great walking and bike trails to try out, and you’ll also be within easy reach of pretty Salcombe (10 minutes’ drive) and gorgeous beaches in places like Hope Cove and South Milton Sands (both 15 minutes).

Geodesic dome (two person)

Liked Hello,
I wrote a review. Please can you post it as I did not book it. X

Estuary escapes.

We have absolutely loved our stay in the Estuary escapes glamping pod. The hosts Kerry and Jon were extremely welcoming and have clearly thought about everything their guests might need to feel comfortable and at home in the glamping pods. Our couples pod was equipped with a king size bed, two sets of tables and chairs (one outside and one inside for bad weather),lovely duvet and pillows, fresh towels and even some blankets in case it gets cold in the evening and a mirror. The solar powered jackery meant we could charge our technical equipment and provided us with beautiful fairy lights int the pods at night. The comfy sofa and cushions mean that visitors have a further spot to relax in the pod. The kitchen area was well equipped with cutlery, cups plates et cetera. All of this, in addition to the beautiful landscape and the helpful tips of the hosts meant we had a wonderful stay. Thank you and see you again, Kerry and Jon!
