A lovely day on site

  • Well-kept, spacious pitches at a rural Devon site near Holsworthy
  • Bude and Westward Ho! beaches within a half-hour drive
  • Dog-friendly pitches; barbecues permitted on site
Park yourselves on the pitches at Old Park Cottage Camping and you'll be not only in a peaceful rural Devon spot but also prime position for getting out and about to a whole host of attractions around the coast and countryside of north Devon and Cornwall. About 10 minutes' drive from the town of Holsworthy (a useful place to find shops and places to eat), this is a quiet site with simple and spacious pitches where you'll be able to light barbecues and relax in the fresh air. Facilities include well-maintained toilets, showers and a washing-up area, with solar panels providing eco-friendly energy. Dogs and kids are welcome to join you at this site, and you should be able to find plenty of ways to entertain both. There are lots of great walks nearby, either on country trails (including in the northern part of Dartmoor National Park) or along the South West Coast Path. Beaches are in good supply too, as are family attractions (the BIG Sheep and Milky Way Adventure Park are both about half an hour’s drive away).

Bell tent

Liked: - Warm welcome upon arrival from the host
- Bell tent with included air mattress was comfortable and withstood heavy winds and rain
- Lots of activities and attractions in the local area, including a circus performance
- Fire pits, benches, and firewood provided on-site
- Brand new, clean toilet and shower facilities
- Accessible outdoor washing up area
- Quiet location with a lovely pond

This campsite near Bude, Devon, provided a wonderful glamping experience. The bell tent was cozy and well-equipped, with electricity and a comfortable air mattress that held up even in heavy winds. The host gave a warm welcome upon arrival, and there was plenty to do in the surrounding area, including the opportunity to see a circus performance.

On-site, the campsite offered all the essentials - fire pits, benches, and firewood for cozy evenings. The toilet and shower facilities appeared to be brand new and very clean, almost as if we were the first to use them. There was also an easy to access outdoor washing up area.

The location was quiet and peaceful, with two lovely ponds at the bottom of the field.

Overall, this is a fantastic campsite that I would happily return to in the future. Highly recommended for those seeking a comfortable glamping getaway in Devon.
