Bell tent

Liked Lovely campsite. Great views and scenery. The facilities are well maintained and clean. Our bell tent had everything we needed and lots of thoughtful touches. The place also had the sort of of vibe you want when you are looking to get away from it all. Would stay there again.

Disliked Nothing.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass campsite

Liked Lovely site very clean the host was lovely and very helpful. Liked the little shop to get my coffee in the morning. My daughter loved playing in the park with the other children on camp

Disliked There was rather a lot of noise in the evening but we didn’t complain as it wasn’t that late and it was just kids playing, if it was bad and late I would of just approached the people and asked nicely for them to keep the noise down. But our last night we had a complaint from someone on camp about us and we weren’t that loud it was just the kids laughing and it wasn’t late either just thought they could of just approached us instead. Also we weren’t aware that the check out time was very strict, as other places we’ve been have not been that strict and if we was made aware that someone was coming early on the pitch we were on we would have made sure we were sorted earlier, we didn’t think it was an issue as there was someone the day before leaving and they hadn’t finished packing up until 12. But when we were aware we packed up as quick as we possibly could. Ended up leaving quite stressed and upset

Powered cement/asphalt and grass campsite

Liked the chilled atmosphere, helpful hosts, the views are amazing and the cleanliness of site is obvious! plenty of space with tents/motorhomes not on top of eachother!

Disliked if I were to be totally picky there aren't enough showers and toilets. the site wasn't hugely busy but there was always a queue for the toilets and showers. Also if you go later in the evening to help with the queue situation the light sensor often turns off leaving you showering in the dark. This is rectified by a quick wave of the hand!

Liked What a fantastic few days we had at this lovely campsite. In a very quiet spot with breathtaking views and great amenities. Great showers and spotless toilets. Everything was perfect. The dog loved it as much as we did. The owners Natasha and Ady make you feel so welcome and are always on hand should you need them.
The area is easy to explore and has lots to see. Can’t wait to visit again. Fully recommend people to visit and enjoy this site. 👍👍

Local attractions

If your holidays are incomplete without a beach day or two, you'll be well chuffed with this location. The site is 25 minutes’ drive from the nearest beach (Summerleaze, in Bude), and other sandy stretches at Crooklets and Sandymouth Bay are within half an hour; all three are good picks for surfing, sea fishing, swims and sandy strolls. When a break from sea, surf and (perhaps) sun is needed, stick around Bude to wander along the canal towpaths, call in at the castle – where there’s a history museum and art gallery – or have a taste tour (self guided) of the town’s many eateries. Days in urban environs aren’t limited to Bude either… There are plenty of scenic villages worth exploring up and down the coast, none more so than the privately owned, blessedly car free and most pretty cobblestoned village of Clovelly, 40 minutes from base. Nature-filled hours are a cinch hereabouts too: the site is 35 minutes from the edge of Dartmoor National Park and – for a bit more order – RHS Garden Rosemoor is within half an hour. A little stuffy for younger tastes? It’s 20 minutes’ drive to the Gnome Reserve and Wildlife Garden in West Putford.
