Salty Dog primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: Wonderful views of St Michael's Mount. Very clean showers and toilets. Very welcoming and helpful owners
Disliked: The camping field is on a steep hillside, some pitches at the top have been flattened but not fully compacted so difficult to get tent pegs to stay in. Very long walk to the toilet (500 step round trip and we pitched near the gate). The water tap in the field only dribbles water but this may be because of the drought. The only access to the field is a heavy sprung farm gate which my 5 year old got caught by a couple of times. A style or small gate would have been so much better.

Salty Dog primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights and adored it. The site is so lovely and quiet, with beautiful views. The owner was very friendly and checked in on us in the heat, we felt very welcome.
Neither of us drive and we found the site very accessible, we ended up walking everywhere and the site was a great base to come back to and relax, visit the pigs and donkeys and rest our legs!
We will definitely be returning in the future.
