If you're on the lookout for a Cornwall location that’s both gorgeously green and easy to get to, take a look at Carnon Downs Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite. The spacious touring pitches here are part of a 20-acre landscaped park that provides plenty of peace and privacy – but they're also fabulously easy to access from the A39 (between Truro and Falmouth). It’s also a short walk from the village of Carnon Downs, which has a mini market, a seasonal fruit farm and a local garden centre with a popular café. This site is managed by the Caravan and Motorhome Club but you don’t need to be a member to stay. However, the £69 annual membership certainly worth considering if you're likely to spend more than four nights at a Caravan and Motorhome Club site over the coming year – it entitles you to discounted rates at more than 140 UK Club sites and a raft of other perks, like access to tailored caravan/motorhome insurance, discounts on days out and savings on top brands. The price displayed here is the member rate; on-members pay a £15/night extra charge. This is a spacious site with high-quality facilities including a playground, a games room and a café/bar serving up snacks and drinks, either inside or out on the terrace. There are also heated bathroom blocks (with wheelchair-accessible facilities), a launderette, a washing-up area and a tourist information point. Dogs are welcome, and there's plenty of space to exercise them at the dog walk area. As for human walks, how about a stroll to the pub? There are three welcoming local inns within walking distance for an easy meal and drink at the end of your day of exploring the Cornish countryside and coast.

FHU cement/asphalt campsite

Liked Everything. Didn't feel like a caravan club site. The staff were so friendly and there were no signs telling you what you can't do!!!
The bar and food vans were a great bonus.
Private bathrooms in the toilet blocks were very well kept.
Its a shame not all caravan and motorhome sites aren't like this one.

Liked Really lovely site. Although the site was busy with lots of occupied pitches it was very quiet and the pitches are spacious. Toilet/shower/washing up block was clean with a proper power shower with removable head - ideal when you're travelling as a family and need to wash your little ones hair! They have a different food van every night of the week as well as a weekly quiz which we unfortunately werent there for. Small bar with inside and outside seating. We only stayed one night so didn't get to make full use of the place really but we will definitely be back.

Liked the team at Carnon Downs are so friendly. there is also a nice coffee shop/bar.

Liked The whole camp site was amazing, the shower/toilets were outstanding, always clean and very looked after, the members of staff are lovely, all helpful, polite and friendly, the sandy park was beautiful, kids loved it, nice little shop, found a cool little games room, really enjoyed our long weekend break here.

Liked Really nice site - very central to Cornwall’s tourist bits (obviously you have to travel but most things about an hour)

Very easy access- just off a main road especially important with a caravan!
