‘We’re all going on a summer holiday…’ And a spring, autumn and, er, winter one too… At Tencreek Holiday Park, the nearest park to lovely Looe in Cornwall, you and the family can arrive in all seasons as a base for the best of south-east Cornwall and Devon, or just stay on site to spoil yourselves silly with the lashings of facilities and entertainment for all ages. And the views are pretty tenfastic too… Tencreek is aimed at families and couples, and as such has any number of tiptop things to try: a kids’ club just for starters, and an adventure playground and sports pitch for small sorts to whirl around outside. More grownuply, the park also has the Castaway entertainment complex with large cabaret room, bar, Deano’s Diner and indoor sports room with darts and pool; there's also family entertainment every night from the Yellow Coats and Tencreek mascots. Don’t forget the dog either: the park is dog friendly and has a dog walking area with access to the public footpath. If it rains, the kids won’t even notice once you get them to the heated indoor pool and toddlers’ pool, which are also open all year and free to use (there are classes such as Aquafit and kids’ swimming lessons available at a small additional charge). The thoughtful folk at Tencreek have ensured that the pool is always lifeguarded, and there are even adults-only sessions at times, if you can manage to get the kids dried off and packed off for a bit… The park also has a fully-stocked food shop, a café with takeaway and a modern laundry.

This is a clean, friendly site with spacious pitches and lovely views. Facilities are well-maintained. The on-site shop is well-stocked and reasonably priced. Liked Very spacious pitches, lovely views. Very clean. Staff was very friendly.

Disliked We had the Sunday carvery,probably the worst carvery we have ever had cost us £60 for none us to eat it. The gravy was like water. Not much choice of veg everything was bland. There was either a choice of a chicken fillet or beef. I had the beef and it tasted very funky. We was very disappointed.

Swimming pool changing rooms smelt like urine.

Liked Toilets super clean and warm, Shop reasonably priced, Clubhouse bar prices again reasonably priced and entertainment for all ages. Grand daughter particularly loved the swimming pool. We enjoyed everything about the site, especially the location, nicely placed between Polperro and Looe and in walking distance of both.

Really enjoyed our stay and booked up next year as we left.

Liked Large quiet pitches, very clean toilet facilities and piping hot showers. Ideally located with coastal paths to Looe and Polperro which we followed and used the bus to return. We booked the swimming pool each day and had lots of fun, the entertainment was very good and the bar area was nice, clean and modern looking. We didn’t use the WiFi at our pitch as the 4G reception for our phones and iPads worked fine, we also got good reception for our TV.

Disliked I can honestly say there wasn’t anything negative about our stay at Tencreek.

Liked Very clean facilities and pitches were great, used non electric pitch for motorhome.

Disliked Dogs are allowed but no dog walking facilities and not allowed inside any buildings.
Not a huge issue but not as dog friendly as advertised

Liked Numerous and spacious toilets and showers.

Disliked Fee is way cheaper when booked on the day. We paid 97£ for non-electric pitch a month prior. On the day of check in, we saw from the website that they are offering 20% off -- Electric pitch was priced at 95£.

We kindly requested to upgrade for electric pitch in case they would consider since they are offering a discount on the day of check-in. They declined. Had to pay another 10£ to upgrade.

Disliked Little pressure from the shower. Poorly stocked shop. Sometimes very fast driving cars on the campsite, even at night. Obviously broken coin dozer which was not marked.

Liked Great pitch, lots of showers and bathroom facilities all very clean and restocked regularly with loo roll etc. Good selection of items in the onsite shop, staff were very friendly and helpful.

Liked The facility's are excellent and will stay again once we've brought a new tent

Disliked The weather, which destroyed out tent. When we stayed the weather was horrendous and beat up our tent. We ended up sleeping in our car and leaving after the 1st night. Luckily we have family in the area so staying with them for the rest of our weekend away

Oodles of activities and attractions await once you’ve dragged yourself off site: pootle around Looe’s Harbour Quay, Banjo Pier and the 16th-century Old Guildhall in East Looe, or take a boat to Looe (St George’s) Island, where just once a year on a very low tide it’s possible to stroll to it across the sand. Sea-based sightseers can go from Looe to Fowey and take the ferry to Polruan or Bodinnick and the former house of Daphne du Maurier (Daphne and Rebecca fans can also go ghost hunting at Cornwall’s legendary coaching house at Bodmin Moor, said to be the county’s most famous smuggling inn).
