What customers say
Quiet, spacious site next to a great gastropub. Mostly level pitches, clean but basic facilities. Pub refunds pitch fees with meal bills—great value! Convenient location, friendly staff & locals. Narrow access roads & occasional facility issues noted.

Great stay, lovely pub, very reasonably priced
Primitive grass campsite
Liked I had a great couple of nights at The Rising Sun with my van and my dog. Everyone was friendly, the pitches were big and the site was quiet. I went on a lovely walk from the site to a nearby holy well and waterfall following the iWalk app - it made it very easy and there's no way I'd have found those footpaths on my own
The pub is lovely and very popular - so rare for a pub these days to be busy with music, food and locals. Especially when out in the sticks a bit. They are doing something right!

Primitive grass campsite
Liked An excellent find. Absolutely perfect for our family of 4 (2 young kids). Really friendly staff, lovely clean site. The pub restaurant was awesome and some of the best food we've had. Will be returning again next year for sure

Restaurant is super. Ate there twice. Both times exceeded expectations. 5 star!
Disliked Loo roll ran out at one point but luckily I was a Boy Scout!

Nice small site, good value esp if you don’t have electricity.
Power optional grass campsite
Liked Friendly staff. Shower was nice and warm. Level pitches. Good food at the pub. Wifi good even across the field.
Disliked toilets across a small road/lane. Not a problem for most as very infrequent traffic but you wouldn’t send a younger child to the toilet unaccompanied due to the possibility of traffic. Camp field itself is safe though and our children played out happily all evening. Electricity £7 a night extra which seemed quite steep for a tent when we are only running a little camper fridge and charging our phones.
