  • Wild camping on an organic Cornish farm 20 minutes’ drive from Bude
  • The Milky Way Adventure Park and Clovelly both 20 minutes’ drive
  • Off-grid site five minutes’ walk from a pub; beach five minutes’ drive
Wild camping in Cornwall tick all the boxes for you? Set yourself up at Rectory Farm Wild Camping, a pop-up site set in a spacious and nicely level field on an organic farm within easy walking distance of the Atlantic coastline. Sandymouth Bay Beach (lifeguarded in summer) is five minutes’ drive away for days rookpooling and splashing about in the sea, and Bude (20 minutes) has lots of shops and cafés as well as a natural tidal swimming pool. Your four-legged friends are welcome to join your adventures, with plenty of walking options to suit all levels of ability. The South West Coast Path is a mere five minutes’ stroll away, and there are shorter circular rambles accessed directly from the camping meadow, taking in a handsome church and the eccentric Hawker’s Hut, both about 10 minutes away on foot. It’s even quicker to walk to the local pub (less than five minutes), and the Rectory Farm Tea Rooms are steps away from the pitches. Simple facilities include portable toilets, a hot shower and a drinking water supply; as the site is off grid it's a good idea to come prepared with torches and banks of batteries.

100% would recommend this campground to a friend

100% would stay here again

What customers say

This peaceful, spacious campsite boasts superb views and a great location near the coast path, a pub, and tea rooms. Facilities are generally clean and adequate for a basic camping trip, though some suggest more portaloos and a tap would improve things.

Primitive grass RV campsite

Liked Large well kept field, very peaceful location! There was only us and another campervan there when we stayed.
Clean toilets and a hot shower was really welcome.
Added bonus of lovely tea rooms a stones throw away as well as the church and coastal path.
The Bush Inn is a few yards away too which is great for an evening meal and pint with a sea view.
We would definitely stay again.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Quiet and peaceful, fantastic location only metres from the SWCP.

Disliked Portaloos, I didn't really mind but it would be nice to have a more environmentally friendly toilet and shower built at some point
