Welcome to 'Seagrass' our Shepherd's hut on our Fireside Camping Club Exempted site. This is a members only site. However, membership for guests is free. We just need to record your name and contact details.
Perfect location for walking the South West Coast path, Bude to Crackington and then Crackington to Boscastle or Tintagel. Local bus services to make these walks one-way.
'Seagrass' has an electric panel heater for your comfort in the cooler months.
The shepherds hut is sited in the lower paddock that has only one other shepherd's hut- Willow plus a gypsy caravan Sunrose.
Due to rising energy costs, instead of a hot tub, we have made the less expensive investment of a double whirlpool style bath with hand shower, situated on outside decking with privacy screening. It is much less expensive to run, instant water at the desired temperature, no need for chemicals plus clean water for every session. We see no need for us to raise our prices to guests, who can enjoy a similar experience to a hot tub!
Be warned: this site is perfect for a 'digital detox' as there is no Wifi or mobile phone signal .
The shower and wc facilities are in a separate block nearby. The toilet is a deluxe compost version for your own use. Only the indoor shower unit is shared by any guests in the other shepherds hut or gypsy caravan.
Charcoal for BBQ is supplied plus logs for one night for the firepit [ we can sell you more].
A small Alpicool electric fridge/freezer is included for guest use.
The lake is stocked with Carp, Tench and Perch for fishing. Bring your own fishing gear but please use barbless hooks and no keep nets.
Note: Closed season for carp fishing May and June as they will be spawning.
The lake is not really suitable for wild swimming due to the fish and geese etc.
Room to pitch a tent for additional guests or perhaps book 'Willow' our other Shepherd's hut or our gypsy caravan Sunrose. [All subject to availability of course]

Admission
At least one of the party members must be aged 17 or over.- For licensing reasons, you must be a member to stay at this campsite. After booking, you will be granted free membership of this campsite's exempt organisation, who may contact you to finalise registration.
- Guests under the age of 9 are not allowed on site.
Occupancy
- No bachelor/bachelorette parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

- There is no reception building on-site: on arrival please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
Safety
- Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
- Swimming in the lake is not allowed.
