What customers say
Beautiful, peaceful campground in stunning countryside with spacious sites. Guests love the friendly owners, 24-hr farm shop, and stargazing. Facilities are clean, though more restrooms needed at peak times. Highly recommended for its tranquility and natural beauty.

Wholesome stay for all
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Loved the location, the owner/host is really lovely and welcoming. And the site is just so wholesome
Disliked The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was that the facilities could do with an upgrade but that’s it

We will definitely be back.
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked What a fantastic experience. The campsite is small, but in a really positive way, and despite the overall size we had a very generous sized pitch in which to position our tent and park our car.
The toilet, shower, and washing up facilities are clean and well equipped. The provision of a communal fridge and freezer is an added bonus, and the 24 hour shop is so useful. Had we been staying longer we’d have made used of the individual fire pit allocated to each pitch.
The chickens and sheep add to the farm experience, as does the sight of vegetables and flowers being grown. The addition of printed maps that we could take with us on local walks was wonderfully unexpected.
We have nothing negative to say about our stay.
Disliked There’s nothing to dislike.

Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Great campsite, having everything we asked for and more. Really good location away from the main road with good sunset/ sunrise from the pitches. The farm shop has the essentials and is open 24/7. Some reviews mentioned lack of toilets/ showers, we were there over a bank holiday weekend and had no issues, always clean and available. Will definitely be coming back.

Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked I can't describe my experience at Cakes Farm in words. My arrival was smooth, and the place itself spoke for itself. The bathrooms were super clean and well-maintained by the owner. Drinking water was easily accessible. The atmosphere was family-friendly and inviting. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant place.

Beautiful, well-run campsite , friendly host, clean facilities .
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked I spent two nights at this campsite and absolutely loved it! Everything was so well looked after and organised. The site is big enough that it never feels crowded, and the owner made sure everyone had plenty of space. Each pitch had its own fire pit, which made evenings under a sky full of stars truly magical.
The surroundings are beautiful — with sheep and chickens nearby and a big vegetable and flower garden adding to the charm. There’s even a little shop selling Ken’s own jams and local produce — honestly the best jam and marmalade ever! We also enjoyed fresh free-range eggs in the morning, which felt extra special knowing you can thank the hens yourself.
There’s a lovely playground, and on Sunday morning children were playing football with their parents, which gave the place such a warm and family-friendly atmosphere. The facilities were good, clean, and practical, and the host was super nice, welcoming, and kind.
Perfect for a night around the fire pit or a peaceful countryside break — I couldn’t recommend it more!
