Liked Site look clean with electric sockets at every pitch

Disliked I didn’t know about airport near by and all night long we heard plains flying,
In the morning at 8 o’clock some men open a big fire(2 metres tall, very scary) just over the street and the smoke was for 2h till we left!

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Cristina, thank you for taking the time to leave your honest review, we are happy that your found our pitches clean and adequate.
We are about 40 minutes from Gatwick airport, and it is dependent on their flight path and schedules over the summer months, apologises to you.
As explained, we are a campsite that operates year round, and unfortunately we cant leave some estate jobs till the end of the summer season, which is frustrating for everyone concerned.
I am so sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Best wishes, The Springbok Estate

Liked Just got back from a fantastic stay at Springbok Campsite and I can’t fault it. The whole site is clean, well-kept and full of things to do. We had showers and decent toilets (I’ll be taking my own loo roll next time just in case), plus plenty of entertainment on-site – a bar with a dart board, table tennis, giant Jenga, dominoes and pool. There’s also a lovely fishing lake, an enclosed garden and a koi pond which was a nice surprise.

We took our own little “kitchen in a box” which made cooking easy, but the real stand-out was the atmosphere. The staff in the shop and behind the bar were genuinely friendly and welcoming – it made all the difference.

Cheap to stay, everything we needed was right there, and the kids were entertained from morning to night. Highly recommend and we’ll be booking again!

Local attractions

If you like a good garden visit on your break, you’ve come to the right spot – it won’t take long at all to reach the likes of the National Trust gardens at 121-acre Winkworth Arboretum (15 minutes’ drive) and Nymans (35 minutes), with woodlands, a lake and natural play areas. The colourful Ramster Gardens (15 minutes) and pretty Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens (35 minutes) are certainly worth adding to the list too. If you’ve brought the kids along, a trip to Fishers Farm Park (15 minutes) may well be on the cards for tractor rides, mini golf, treetop trails, pony rides and lots of animals to meet (plus indoor play areas in case of dodgy weather). You might also like to see the big birds at Surrey Hills Falconry (20 minutes) or hit the beach in Worthing (40 minutes). No kids in your party? A day at Denbies Wine Estate (35 minutes) might appeal instead then – you can sign up for tours and tastings here, and there’s a lovely restaurant too.
