An outdoor break in Kent’s High Weald National Landscape, but make it fabulously easy? Book in for a stay at Caracol Glamping, in a peaceful rural location about 10 minutes' drive from Royal Tunbridge Wells.
This is a place where big open skies and abundant nature meet the comfort and convenience of ready-made accommodation. Come along here and you'll be staying in a fully furnished bell tent with much of what you need already in place. That includes a comfy double bed (with fresh bed linen provided), airbeds for the kids (if you’ve brought them), atmospheric lighting and outdoor seating with a barbecue/firepit. Just bring your towels for use in the shared bathroom block.
Tents are well spaced around the edge of the wildflower field, so you’ll have your own space and privacy. There are plenty of shared spaces, though, including the stretch tent for outdoor relaxing and the ‘snug’ area where you can cosy up when the weather’s not so great. A well-equipped kitchen is also on hand, with all the kit you need to sort your meals. You’ll just need to bring a cool box for your drinks and snacks (top tip: fill it up with excellent local goodies from Groombridge Farm Shop, a couple of minutes' drive away).
You’re welcome to spend a whole lot of time just soaking up the rural vibes and admiring the big open skies here – but there are plenty of options for getting out and about too. This is an area of numerous walks, places to go climbing, gardens, castles and vineyards to visit – and it’s all a little over an hour away from London by car or train…
