What customers say
This tidy, peaceful spot has spacious sites & praised staff. Great for anglers, near attractions. WiFi can be spotty, and shared restrooms are dated with few showers. Close to a busy road, no dishwashing. Many would return.

Great site, a little road noise early morning
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked We only stayed one night, but it was a great ,peaceful night. The site is lovely, with squirrels, wildfowl and other creatures. We didn't eat, only had drinks, at the restaurant but it looked lovely. We didn't use the toilets, showers, so can't comment on them, but our neighboring campers were using them.
If you like fishing you can get a day pass to fish on the lakes.
Disliked We didn't realise you weren't supposed to walk around the lakes, but it was a lovely walk and we got to speak to the fishermen and women. Not sure why you're not supposed to ?

Great weekend, exceptional value, looking forward to visiting again

Liked What a fantastic weekend we had at Pittlands. We arrived on Friday and although this was our first visit, the site did not disappoint. The site was beautifully kept, attractive and exceptionally tranquil. On the first night we enjoyed fish, chips and a pint for £10pp which we felt was exceptional value and the quality was superb. On the Saturday, we welcomed two family members for the day and we all thoroughly enjoyed the fun day in support of cystic fibrosis. The entertainment provided by Clay was fantastic and although we didn’t have a look around the stalls, it was lovely to see so many people enjoying themselves in support of an amazing charity. We were blown away by the quality and quantity of the raffle prizes on offer and at £5 a ticket, every winner got a prize of at least double the value if not a lot more. We found everyone, including the staff, exceptionally welcoming and friendly. We have stayed at many CL spots in the past and paid a lot more than we did for Pittlands and the quality has been much worse. Overall a fantastic weekend and a spot we look forward to visiting again in the near future.
Disliked The only thing that we found was that whilst the WiFi at the bar was great, the signal was not strong enough to reach the pitch field and with 4G/5G signal not being strong, it was difficult to use the internet and stay in contact with fiends and family.

Liked Small , really kept site with its own cafe/bar . Staff very friendly , facilities were ok be mindful the facilities were also used by all fishermen staying on the site . Site quite remote so no walks to go on and next to a busy road . Saying that we would stay again .
