Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked My husband was a way so I booked a last min 1 night for me, my 12year old son and dog. I booked an hour before we turned up.
Easy to find, perfect location with a lovely pub with a garden 10mins walk down the road, food was beautiful.
The site is basic but perfect, lovely big field with loads of space and big empty fields surrounding for the dog to run around.
We were lucky to have some friendly families opposite who welcomed my son to play cricket and football, they had plenty of space.
We all slept well.
Really cheap compared to some sites!

We were looking forward to hiring a firepit to toast marshmellows, but as the ground was too dry they were not allowed.
Completely understand and agree safety comes first, so not a criticism but the only negative I could find.

From the manager: Rebecca, so sorry you didn't like our campsite, many of our campers love it and give some very high scores. This just wasn't the campsite for you. We are a campsite and not a holiday park so we don't provide any activities. we do have maps with a wide range of recommended walks which have been tried and tested many times by our guests. You can either take a photo of a map or I can send you the GPX file for you to download and use it on your GPS or phone. We hope you have many more weekends away camping, thanks for giving us a try.
Lovely quiet site, with plenty space and good facilities.
