From the manager: Thank you very much indeed Louise for your kind review. It was lovely to see you again and your son too. Handsome lad 😁
We are glad that you found that the facilities were up to standard, it is a bit of a challenge when we are that busy but we are very proud of the good reviews that we get for those. We hope that you did manage to get the top of your tent dry before you went and we are looking forward to seeing you again. The Oak View Team Ruth and Rob. 😊

From the manager: Thank you so much Iain. It was lovely to see you back again this weekend and what a lovely photo of the dog! They're such a help aren't they? 😂 🐶 🥰 🔨
We are glad that you found your pitch to be a good size and you were happy with the facilities. It was a good weekend, busiest of the year so far and we were full so it's good to know that our customers are enjoying their stay. We would love to see you both and the dog again. The Oak View Team Ruth and Rob. 😊

Liked: Great location and really easy check in process.
Facilities kept clean throughout the stay.
Really friendly helpful staff.
Nice small site.
Disliked: Showers were on a push button system and tended to be cold with no temperature adjustments.
Hairdryers required a 20p coin to operate.
Pitches were very close together and felt quite crowded with no real definition of pitch.
Advertised walk to the pub was not a suitable walk for with children as path was overgrown and very steep.
Quite noisy with overhead planes overnight which was unexpected.
Seasonal pitches needed more responsibility put on owners to maintain them as some of them were looking very shabby and grass was overgrown around them.

From the manager: Thank you for your review, James. We will take the good with the bad in order to learn and hopefully make the site better for our customers.
We are pleased that you found plenty to like and we do work very hard to try to keep the showers and toilets clean for you all when we are busy. We are pleased that you found us to be helpful and friendly.
To address the points that you disliked`;
The shower system does it's best to keep up when we are fully booked as we were this weekend. We did not have 1 pitch left. The boilers obviously have to reheat and when there is a constant stream of people using the showers, this does't always happen quickly enough and we apologise for that.
We have a constant supply of 20p coins in the reception should you wish to use the hairdryer, just come and ask.
We are sorry that you felt the pitches were too close together. Every busy weekend, Rob and myself go round and measure the pitches out to the legal requirements including firebreaks. The arrival of the campervan next to you was due to a customer coming in and insisting to be with a group at the last minute after not having told us and we apologise for that.
Could you please complain to Kent Highways about the overgrown pathway down to the pub and we do suggest that our customers research where we are before they book, we are at the top of a hill.
Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about the flightpaths from Gatwick.
The seasonal customer was asked to cut the grass around his awning during the week before the bank holiday weekend but was away.
We hope that you will come and stay with us again, perhaps when we are not so busy and we wish you well and happy travels. The Oak View Team, Ruth and Rob.

Liked: Beautiful clean toilets and showers. I love that a toilet and shower is in together.
Clean site. Friendly staff
Mobile fish and chip shop on a Saturday evening
Grass was cut lovely.
Disliked: It was allocated pitches so if your with a few other campers your all in a line so makes it difficult to feel together.
No campfires are allowed even tho some people were having them. You had to move your cars to the car park some distance away if your in a tent.

From the manager: Thank you very much for your review. We are glad that you liked the facilities and the site and most of all us. 😊 It was a fantastic weekend and was lovely to see you all.
Regarding the pitch allocation, you did book quite late and this was the only way that we could get you all together as by then, the whole park was planned out and we had a lot of big groups who wanted to be together that could not be separated. There is nothing to stop our customers sitting in front of the pitches in a group as long as you are not setting up seating areas in the firebreaks. We suggest to get all together on busy weekends, customers do book as early as they can. You also had a mixture of vehicles and tents which are supposed to be in separate areas. We did get you all together, and the pitches all run in a line all around the park, around the edges of the outer and inner rings.
You are correct that no campfires are allowed and all our customers are told this in their confirmation emails, on the booking system, on their handouts and on arrival. We had one customer who took it upon himself to do this after having been told no twice and when our warden saw it, he was asked to put it out immediately. We will not take any more bookings from this gentleman.
We are sorry that you also didn't like having to put the cars in the carpark. You were in a campervan so this would not have affected you.
We allow our customers to have their cars on the grass while setting up their tents and then we ask you to move them to the carpark for the following reasons. If we allow one car to stay on the grass, before we know it we have a car park and you will all be sitting looking at everyone else's cars. We don't want our customers to have a football through the windscreen so it is to protect your vehicles and cars everywhere also takes away the space for the children to play. Obviously, any customer with a disability can request to have their car by the pitch if they come and speak to us first.
We hope that these things did not spoil your stay and we look forward to seeing you all again.

From the manager: Thank you so much Sandra for another All the Tens review! We are glad that you were happy during your stay and we do our best to make sure that our customers are happy and comfortable.
We have looked into the possibility of an on site shop in the past but unfortunately, we don't feel that it is something we can offer at this time. We don't have the room to store stock and it brings a whole new set of complications. We do give you all information on the local shop in the village on arrival, and we have all the usual supermarkets within a couple of miles.
Rob our warden has a little camping shop running from the wardens pitch should any of you forget anything. Please see the link below to browse the kind of items he has in stock. Thank you again. The Oak View Team Ruth and Rob.😊

Liked: Very quite and well kept site. Staff helpful and friendly
Disliked: The hot water in the showers was only just warm enough to shower in. The hot water to wash up in was not worth walking to the washing up area. For what we paid I would have expected the hot water to have been a lot hotter

From the manager: Thank you Paul for taking time out of your day to leave us a review. It was lovely to meet you.
We have today looked into the problem that you had with the hot water and it is coming through with no problem, everything in the system has been checked. The only thing that we can think is that you were unfortunately coming along after the hot water had been used and the boilers had not had chance to catch up. We do apologise and hope that this will not put you off from staying with us again. The Oak View Team, Ruth and Rob. 😊

Disliked: Blocked drains. Shady pitches. How cold it is on top of the hill! Poor recycling.

From the manager: Sally, thank you for leaving us a review, we are interested to know what our customers think and the we can hopefully rectify any problems. We are pleased that there were some things that you liked.
Re: Blocked drains: There was one partially blocked drain, you came and told us and it was cleared immediately.
Re: Shady pitches: If you wanted to move to another pitch and had come and told us, we would have gladly done this for you.
Re: Cold on top of the hill: Can't change the weather we're afraid.
Re: Poor recycling: We have a brand new bin area and have taken all the bins away from the service points around the park to make it nicer for out customers. We attach an information sheet both to your confirmation booking and your handout you receive on arrival telling you all what goes where. The bins are all clearly marked. It is then down to the customer to make the correct choice as to which bin to put the rubbish in.
We wish you all the best and happy travels. The Oak View Team, Ruth and Rob 😊

Liked: We went there to try out a new tent. The pitch we were given was great. Ruth was very helpful and we were not pressured to leave by a certain time on our last day as we were trying to figure out how the tent works. The facilities were clean and modern and well maintained.

From the manager: Thank you very much Pieter for your "all the tens" review. We do try as hard as we can, space allowing, to put our customers on the best pitch for the unit they have. We put a lot of thought into planning where everyone goes and if we are not manically busy, we do allow our customers to check out when ready. However, if it is very busy, we do ask that customers be off their pitches for 11am. This does not mean off site, just off the pitch ready for the next customer and our customers really help us out when they leave their pitches on time and we appreciate it.
We are pleased that you got to try out the new tent and liked our facilities. We look forward to seeing you again. The Oak View Team, Ruth and Rob.😊
