  • Quiet adults-only site in the Kent Downs National Landscape
  • North Downs Way 10 minutes’ walk; Folkestone 20 minutes’ drive
  • Three pubs, a vineyard and fishing lake all within walking distance
If you like to be surrounded by stunning natural views, then family-run Horton View Farm is the place for you. Five minutes’ drive away from the Kent villages of Stowting and Brabourne, this adults-only site is set on a quiet lane with views across to the hills and valleys of the Kent Downs National Landscape. There are scenic walks from the gate of the camping meadow, as well as spectacular sunrises and sunsets and dark skies filled with shimmering stars on clear nights. Approached by neatly mown paths through the wild meadow, each tent has its own firepit, and logs are available to purchase from the site. It’s mostly off-grid (so bring your own torches), but it does have flushing toilets and hot showers, a fridge and a freezer for guests to use, and an open barn with a social area where you can relax and take in the stunning landscape. A vineyard, several pubs and a fishing lake are within half an hour’s walk of the site along quiet lanes and footpaths, so leave the car behind if you choose. The very nearest pub is just five minutes’ stroll away, and if good local produce is your thing, there are exceptional farm shops, bakeries and farmers’ markets throughout the area.

Bell tent

Liked We had a fantastic long weekend at Horton View Farm. Jo and Dave were so friendly and helpful, the facilities were excellent and spotless, and our bell tent was perfect with everything we needed for our weekend, and lots of little extras thought about too. The local area was great for walking to lovely pubs, a nice vineyard and cycling further afield to Wye and Folkestone. We will definitely be coming back next year, and have recommended it to friends and family already! Thank you for a great stay!

Bell tent (basic)

Liked Everything! Was the most perfect weekend. The super friendly owners couldn't have done enough for us. There were gorgeous little touches such as a fab communal barn with a big table and chairs, fridge freezer, kettle, snacks, maps, plugs for phone charging etc. Toilets and showers were immaculate and always well stocked with loo roll and hand soap. Lovely washing up area with hot water. Pitches were large with fire pits and all had amazing views. Bell Tents were huge and just perfect. Whole area seemed to be full of really friendly locals too. All in all an amazing few days. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your little piece of heaven.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Such a lovely site! Dave, the owner, greeted us on arrival, checked in on us in the morning and couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. The communal area has everything you could need - kettle, fridge, plug sockets, games, maps, marshmallows, and even menus for pubs near by. The bathrooms were clean, bright, and eco-friendly. Very well kept and a comfortable site we would happily return to.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Absolutely perfect! Went here for a quiet weekend and was greeted by the lovely Jo and Dave who gave us the tour. The pitches were well spaced out, and marked by the way the grass was cut, then overgrown around you, so very functioning but still feel immersed in nature. Clear view of sunset. Perfect facilities - toilet, washing up area. And added luxury of a hang out barn space with a shared kettle and fridge. Everything was clean and so well thought through with lots of loving touches. Would definitely return!
