  • Family breaks at a Hampshire residential activity centre near Hook
  • Mini farm, campfire evenings, high ropes course and laser guns
  • All-inclusive stays covering accommodation, food and activities
If you've ever packed the kids off to a residential activity course and thought ‘I'd like to try that myself’, here’s your chance. Gordon Brown Centre, in the Hampshire countryside near Hook, is opening its doors during the school holidays for all-inclusive family residential breaks packed with fun outdoor activities. This is a great way to organise a family break, as everything is included – your accommodation, your activities and your food (you’ll just need to bring the equipment to kit out your tent or pod). Activities are all included here, with the core programme always including a high ropes/climbing session (dare you try the ‘Death Drop’?), a laser guns session and the chance to meet the animals (including donkeys, goats and rabbits) at the mini farm. Additional activities are included in different holidays as well – depending on the season, you may be doing archery, rocket stove cooking or taking on the low ropes course, and of course there’s an Easter egg hunt during the Easter holidays. See T&Cs section for full timetable and seasonal activities. Packages also cover a 'build your own burger' buffet-style evening meal, a self-serve breakfast (bacon or sausage bap, toast, cereal and juice) and a campfire session with hot chocolate and marshmallows. Free tea, coffee and squash are included during the daytime, and all food preferences/allergens can be catered for (vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available). Booking an all-inclusive package here means that pretty much everything you need will be provided – but if there’s anything else you need (perhaps some snacks or a place for a quick lunch), there are plenty of options handily close by in Hook. There’s also a railway station here with services to London (which take around an hour) and elsewhere.
