  • Peaceful Hampshire wildlife haven 15 minutes’ drive from Winchester
  • A 10-minute walk from the Watercress Line station
  • Adults-only site with views of the surrounding countryside
Head into the Hampshire countryside for a peaceful adults-only stay at Two Hoots Glamping, Caravan Park and Campsite – this quiet site close to the village of Bighton (about 15 minutes’ drive from Winchester) is set in a glorious countryside location with the chance to see amazing natural wildlife such as red kites flying overhead, rabbits, a friendly pheasant and glowworms. Spread out over four and a half acres on a hilltop, the pitch types have fabulous views across the surrounding countryside towards the South Downs National Park. There are plenty of walking and cycling routes around so you can get out to see more of that gorgeous green ery (perhaps stopping off at a local country pub along the way…). It’s also easy to walk from here to the Watercress Line station in Ropley for a steam-powered ride through the Hampshire countryside. Alresford, a pretty town with riverside walks and a range of pubs, restaurants and boutique shops, is also just a 10-minute drive away from Two Hoots Glamping, Caravan Park and Campsite.

P.s. in the pre-arrival emails we send out we do advise guests to follow Google or Apple maps directions to "Two Hoots Glamping, Caravan Park & Campsite" as following SATNAV seems to take guests c. 1/2 mile down the lane for some reason unknown to us. I am really glad you found us!

As mentioned above, facilities were spotless and well maintained

Liked It was certainly nice to be at a site that had No Children or Dogs for a change.
We always try and stay at Adult Only sites, but inevitably there are dogs that are not very well controlled by their owners ie continuous Barking.
We certainly enjoyed the peace and quiet plus the stunning views surrounding the site.
The Grass pitches are very generous and are quite level, we didn’t even use our levelling chocks.
Michele was extremely welcoming upon our arrival.
The facilities were clean and well maintained and stocked.
One other positive note was the Kitchen area.
It had nearly every conceivable appliances, at your disposal, if needed.
One nice feature was the Ice Machine, certainly useful during the hot weather we enjoyed, during our stay.

Disliked Unfortunately the shower facilities were a bit of the small size, if you are on the large side, which we’re not.
Otherwise, it would be our only comment, everything else was spot on.

Liked Pretty site with views. Large spacious and level pitches. Wildlife spotting and the guinea fowl. Great location for exploring the area. Very clean compact facilities.

Disliked Some pitches against owner’s property fence, backing directly onto their garden and driveway, not illustrated on site plan, so unaware prior to arrival. Not being able to select pitch if booking via Pitch Up. Weather conditions and personal preferences not taken into account with the pre allocated system.

If windy, site windy particularly at the head of the field.

Toilets and showers cleaned very frequently. Sounds like a positive but can actually get in the way of both privacy and blocking use of one of the two showers at peak times.

Liked Great views! Quiet adult/ no pet site with really large spacious pitches with plenty of space between pitches with long grass. Sunsets were Fabulous. Wildlife was good with added extra of some non native guinea fowl running around. Apparently they eat the nasty ticks and other bugs we hate( so I googled) so bonus.
It was all EHU that we can see and the Wi Fi worked well for us. Drinking water taps plus toilet waste area. Well laid out and easy to find.
Michelle was very welcoming and helpful.
Some local footpaths and we loved hearing the watercress line steam train give his hoots.
Facilities regarding toilets and showers were immaculate.
Kitchen/wash up area has fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle and there are some coffee, tea and sugar sachets if you not had chance to stop at a shop.
In all we had a lovely relaxing midweek break. Was perfect.

Disliked Toilets and showers a tad small. If you of a larger build you may find it a squeeze and it a step up.

Liked Gorgeous quiet location, great views, wild grasses between pitches along with wild guinea fowl pottering around made this a very special place. The hosts ensured that everything was always spotless. Wifi was excellent around our pitch. Kitchen was very well equipped, even an ice maker! Bathrooms were spotless. The occasional toot from the local steam railway was a lovely bonus!

Disliked Bathrooms, whilst well equipped and clean were a little on the small side, especially for anyone a little larger.
