  • Quiet rural site 10 minutes' walk from the pub in Damerham
  • A 15-minute drive from the New Forest, half an hour from Bournemouth
  • Firepits for hire; pizzas on Saturday and a bar on weekends
Heaps of space and starry skies by night – there’s much to celebrate at Jubilee Camping, a back to basics site in peaceful countryside in the village of Damerham on the border of Dorset and Hampshire. You may like to raise a toast in honour of the site’s location, within easy reach of the New Forest National Park, the old city of Salisbury and the beaches around Bournemouth. Or perhaps you’d prefer to pay homage to the relaxed vibe, which welcomes kids and dogs and encourages barbecues and campfires (firepits are available to hire, and you can stock up on firewood to feed the flames). Breakfast rolls are up for grabs on Saturday and Sunday mornings (and Monday bank holidays). Plus, on Friday and Saturday evenings (plus Sundays if it's a bank holiday weekend), the site's Shepherd's Hut Bar is open for local ales and ciders and drinks like Prosecco or a gin and tonic. On Saturday evenings, the team fires up the woodfired pizza oven to prepare fresh pizza with a variety of toppings. For other meals, shops, takeaways and restaurants are three miles away in Cranborne or Fordingbridge, and a fab local pub is 10 minutes’ walk away (serving up treats from craft beers to cream teas). In keeping with the traditional setup, there’s not a huge raft of facilities here, but the basics are well tended – toilets, hot showers (to use these, please ask the team in advance), water points and plenty of space for parking. As Jubilee Camping is on a real working farm, guests can also join Dave on tractor and trailer rides or help to feed the calves.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Great family friendly campsite. It was our children's first time camping (aged 1 and 3) and they loved it. So many extras for children - tractor rides, seeing the animals and outdoor toys. We also hired and fire pit which made the evening so lovely.
Thank you for a lovely stay and the perfect first camping experience for our children

Disliked Our only complaint is that the showers were very cold!!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked My partner and I stayed for three nights here and loved it. A beautiful, tranquil campsite with pleanty of space. The owners are so friendly, helpful and accomodating. We really enjoyed the tractor ride around the farm. The facilities were functional and well kept. A lovely family run site that we will be re-visiting in the future for sure!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked We were greeted on arrival by farmer Dave who we found very helpful and polite, as were the rest of the family and all the staff at the campsite. Good food, lovely bar, amenities were basic but very clean. Kids loved all the animals and the tractor rides, loads to do in the local area. Loads of space. A fantastic week topped off by the colour run on the last day!! Can’t wait to return next year. Authentic, basic camping at its very best!! Thanks Dave and Alison

Disliked Only booked one week instead of two!!!!

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Facilities are great kept clean and tidy. The owner is lovely and it was nice to see the donkeys. So much space to camp and you can pick where you pitch which was perfect for us. Been twice now and really enjoyed. There is a pub about a 5 min walk called compasses which is amazing!!! And does the most delicious curries :)

Disliked Not so much a dislike but last time we went there was on site food from the cafe which was amazing and a bar.. this time it was closed as they only run it on bank holidays and summer holidays (understandable) but I feel this could have been made clearer when booking and could have been reflected in the overall price. As we still paid the same with out having those options.

We had a nice couple of days there and would definitely recommend it.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked A good campsite with basic toilet / shower / washing-up facilities but fantastic offerings if you don’t want to do all your own catering - decent coffee in the morning, a very popular outdoor pizza oven and various other offerings. Animals and a tractor trailer ride keep the younger kids happy and there’s plenty of space for games / general running around!

Disliked The generator comes on at 8:00 am for hot water but it is used up straightaway - if there’s a way to improve that, that would be great. One other suggestion is to have a dog-free field, due to our pitch having dogs on either side, who were adorable, but seemed to gravitate to our tent to do their business! Not ideal when kids are running around..

Liked Relaxed feel with free choice on pitch, which is great if you are with a group as we were. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Facilities were clean and well stocked. Although it was a bank holiday it didn’t feel over crowded.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Wonderful campsite with plenty of space around pitches. We were all made to feel extremely welcome by the hosts. We loved the bar and pizzas on Saturday night. The children enjoyed the tractor ride around the farm and it was great to be able to hire a fire pit.

Disliked The cold showers and cold water for washing up slightly let it down, but this was minor and we would not allow it to stop us returning in the future.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Jubilee camping was amazing. Such a lovely place on a working farm where dave the farmer will take you on tractor and trailer rides to see and feed the cows and sheep.
The rest of the jubilee term were very friendly and accommodating with nice clean facilities. Very laid back and you can choose where you pitch. Bonus small of lead dog walking field next to the piglets! Will definitely be back.
