What customers say
This campsite offers lovely woodland and lake scenery with many popular family outdoor activities. Staff are consistently friendly and helpful. Facilities are generally clean, though some noted issues with unisex toilets, shower pressure, and occasional cleanliness. Noise from late campers and aircraft, plus uneven pitches, were mentioned. Many guests highly recommend and plan to return.

Not sure if I would return due to the dusty camping areas
Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite (woodland, pet friendly)
Liked Staff all friendly, activities good kids really enjoyed them.
Disliked The state of the grass areas, very very dusty, grass obviously not watered through the summer. The dust was so bad I have had to erect my awning at home to try and get it clean.

Powered grass campsite (no pets, lake view)
Liked We have been here 5 times over the years and we always stay lakeside. Never disappointed plenty of space for pitch and kids to play the park is a great addition. We have in the past enjoyed onsite activities and we love the lake activities the most. And we will be back.

Great venue.
Primitive forest floor tent campsite (forest, pet friendly)
Liked All staff positively engaged each time I needed to speak to them. The young woman working the cafe on her own on the night of 30/08/25 deserves a bonus. High volume of food output, high volume of sales and still great customer interaction. Good campus, great activities. Facilities were generally clean. Well positioned for exploring the forest by bike.
Disliked Nothing really, it s on the Bournemouth flight path but I’ve camped a couple of miles away and it’s still just as noisy.

A great campsite to come with a family with excellent facilities.
Primitive grass campsite (no pets, lake view)
Liked The beautiful site situated in woodland. The wide range of activities available were excellent. The fact that everyone observed the quiet hours after 10pm which you don't find in many places.
Disliked The toilets often smelled unclean which was a shame and our freezer packs were stolen on the first day which meant we struggled to keep our food cold and therefore safe. This is not the fault of Avon Tyrrell but impacted our stay slightly.
